I can’t believe people on this thread are acting like anybody remembers anything about Buckner except for his legs.
The other prisoners won’t like him at all. He’ll be wishing he was dead.

These are well above average men’s players. They aren’t the equivalent of a random team of tigerdroppings posters. But these guys are far from as good as NBA players.
Due to the way the bell curve works, the difference between the 99th percentile of men’s basketball players (which is what these guys are) and the 99.999th percentile of basketball players (NBA players) is much bigger than the difference between, say, the 99th and 98th percentile of male players. In fact, I think the difference between the 99.999th and 99 percentiles is bigger than the difference between the 99th and 1st percentiles.

How does any court except the US Supreme Court have the power to stop presidential acts? I’ve always wondered that.

He’s a very religious Catholic and he and his wife refused to abort their daughter despite spinal cord problems.
He’s fairly consistently Catholic with his anti-abortion and pro-social justice views. He’s largely being saved from the death penalty issue by the court order banning executions in Louisiana. Although I suspect he’d put more of an effort to fighting the court order, or at least changing state law to comply with the court order, if he were particularly pro-death penalty.
I’m sure he’s legitimately anti-abortion.

Minimum wage shouldn’t exist at all. Businesses should be allowed to set wages where they want. If they want to make the wage $1.10 an hour, they should have the right to do so.
I’ve never heard about partisan gerrymandering being unconstitutional before. Only racial gerrymandering is supposed to be unconstitutional.
Mid level income in Italy? Isn’t that $0 with the unemployment there?

At least in theory McDonald’s, Walmart, etc, could get more sales if they raised their wages.
I’m met some people who claim not to shop at Walmart or eat at McDonald’s because of how low they pay employees. IDK if they’re telling the truth. But if there really are so many liberals who boycott those places, that probably does change the economic calculations of raising their wages a bit.
