These teams have got to be hiring scrubs for the practice squads.....Or these guys they interviewed are soy boys.

quote:

“I just laugh,” says 30-year-old Garvin McAlister, who is an assistant coach at Post University, a DII school in Waterbury. He’s been on the Sun practice squad for years, and knows better than most just how implausible those online claims to on-the-court dominance really are. “I’m like, ‘You will get killed, what are you talking about?’”

quote:

“I’ll tell them, ‘Alright, you guys laugh, but one of these girls could come in here and beat every last one of you,” he says. “Any DI women’s player is extremely fundamentally sound, and that’s where you can get easy points and take advantage of people. You kind of have to humble yourself, put your pride aside and realize these are the most talented women basketball players in the world.”

What a load.

A men's HS State Champion team would absolutely house a team of WNBA All-Stars.

The average out-of-shape joe would definitely get killed on the basketball court against a D1 female player.

i dont get why yall even respond to this. its not a question that any legitimate AAU team would beat a WNBA team. theres no reason to even act like this assistant coach is being serious

Not sure why you pointed this out. He didn't claim otherwise.

So many things in this country that people think they can just speak or write into reality. So tired of it.

The best thing I ever saw on this board were the people seriously arguing she could "take" Floyd Mayweather because he was all "flash and style."

Think about this- he's a random average Joe assistant coach and he's on the practice squad. In other words, he's able to push these elite WNBA athletes to their max and he's not even actively in a college or professional league.

To be fair, it looks like he was a decent Div II basketball player about 10 years ago.

quote:

McAlister earned his bachelors degree from Post University in 2011. He would go on to earn his Masters of Science in Organizational Leadership from Nichols College (Dudley, MA). While a a student at Post, McAlister served as a key member of men’s basketball team as well as a sports information intern.

quote:

McAlister had a successful career as a Post University basketball player. He ranks 2nd all-time in career assists, 3rd all-time in career steals, 4th all-time in game starter and 9th all-time in 3-point field goals made.

They’re short, slow, weak, and lack shooting and ball handling skills.

I’m not trying to be sexist, but female basketball should be abolished. It’s so bad.
