Kick 6 should be in the dictionary for signature loss.

The Browns Earnest Byner fumble in the playoffs...

No wait, the Browns Red Right 88 interception against the Raiders in the playoffs needing only a chip shot FG to win...

No wait, the Browns and letting Elway mow through them in "the Drive" leading in the final minutes in the playoffs.

I honestly can't think of a single signature win for Cleveland. It's just signature losses.

Braves have 3 potential candidates…91 World Series Game 7 (Lonnie Smith etc), 96 World Series Jim Leyritz game, and the Infield Fly game against StL

Has any NFL team had such a gutpunch of playoff losses in such a short time?
- Beastmode in 2010
- Smith to Vernon Davis in 2011 season. 4 seconds left after our last minute score. Win and we host the Giants in nfc championship
-Minneapolis miracle after 17 season
-nola no call
-ot loss to vikings after last second tying kick

The signature loss for the Raiders is obviously the fricking illegal "Immaculate Reception."

Or is it the wrongly interpreted by Kraft interference (the review had a phone call to the Commish) that review took hours on the field... the "Tuck Rule" game.

Dodgers signature loss is obviously Bobby Thompson with the "Shot Heard 'Round the World" The Giants win the pennant! The Giants win the pennant! The Giants win the pennant! The Giants win the pennant!

Actually, the Stoernover was the same day as Kansas State's signature win.

Idk what the Falcons signature win is (maybe 2016 NFCCG) but everyone knows the signature loss (28-3). It is undoubtedly much more well-known than any of their wins. The franchise still hasn’t recovered to be honest.

Saints really have 3 that jump to mind. This is how I'd rank them in order:

No Call
Beastmode
Minnesota Miracle

That Lynch run may be the best north south run ever in the NFL. He tossed Porter about 8 yards backwards. I think about 10 different Saints players touched during the run.

This is like the gold standard of “signature losses.”

The Browns

These are all the famous ones from the 80s when they actually had good teams. There’s an entire menu of “signature losses” they’ve had since the return in 99. Basically at least one very year. Collapse against the Bears in 01, the Dwayne Rudd helmet game, bottlegate, the Dennis Northcut drop, the Jamal Lewis game, the Jets last year, etc.

Arkansas’s missed foul ball in Omaha which would have won a natty has gotten plenty of mileage on the rant.

Pretty much sums up our fortunes as a program overall, so close yet so far.
