Memphis losing in the 2008 national title game to Kansas after being up nine with a little more than two minutes left in regulation. A very poor FT shooting team all year had little issue from the line in the NCAAT until that moment, and Chalmers draining the three to force OT.

The Vikings losing the 1999 NFCCG the way they did can't be stated enough, but credit to the Falcons playing the way they did that day. Normally they would lose that game...but then again, so would the Vikings too.

The Colts losing the Super Bowl to the Saints has to qualify as a signature loss considering how the Saints played in the second half, but at least they had a Super Bowl of their own. For the most part, the Colts can't claim a signature win of that magnitude, maybe the 2007 AFCCG.

I had my cursor on the upvote button about to upvote because that is indeed the Patriots' signature loss and a massive one in sports history. But then I saw the ratio was 18-1. And well, just gonna keep it like that for obvious reasons

That Falcons team wasn’t exactly a slouch at 14-2 either.

2018 Rockets Game 7 vs GSW. One of the best NBA teams I’ve ever seen. I still can’t comprehend how a team misses 27 straight threes.

Geeze Sean Payton just could not for the life of him put together a great defense. The saints would have won 4 super bowls with a decent D.

rookie Jaret Wright was a stud throughout that postseason. Beats the champion Yankees in the ALDS, a loaded Orioles team in the LCS, and would’ve been a legend had Fernandez (RIP) fielded the ball.

I honestly can't think of a single signature win for Cleveland. It's just signature losses.

Southern Miss football has never been the same since they lost to Louisville in 2000. They were easily the premier program outside of the power conferences going into that game, and have never even approached that status since.

Louisville football losing at Rutgers in 2006

Thursday night games were just becoming big, they blew a lead, greatest field rush of all time, they probably play for a national championship without that loss.
