Yes. Yes, we do.
He improved the broadcast 100%. I'm sure that ESPN has seen Peter's popularity and that's why we see him often. I bet the dog brings more viewers than it costs them.

Does Kirk just have so much influence at ESPN that one day he just said "I'm going to start bringing my dog and you aren't going to say a thing, so deal with it" type situation?
I figured it was a registered service dog.

My goodness man, that's quite the emotional response.

My dog and I would 100% say that to your face at the Sonic on Burbank at a time of your convenience.

I don’t take my dog to work, why does he need his
back in my heavy equipment selling days i saw dogs at work all the time. Business owners bring their dogs to the office all the time, especially old baws
This old baw had a black lab that was old as shite. Sold a few lifts to them over the years. They put a pack on him that would hold a few water bottles on it. When you put a water bottles on it he was trained to go outside to employees in the shop. He'd run out the door and come back for more bottles after the shop guys grabbed them. Turned out the owners son was a dog guy in Iraq and could train dogs to do just about anything.
If i was taking PJs around, i would gladly bring my golden everywhere i went like Kirk

We're only a couple days into the season, but we've already had to see the dog on Gameday, on the LSU/Clemson broadcast and now on the UNC/TCU broadcast. I love dogs, but do we really need to see Kirk's dog every single broadcast?
I can’t imagine having the energy to run to the internet to complain about this. I mean in all seriousness, what the frick is wrong with people these days? Dude has his beautiful golden retriever on TV with him, so what? Is it really that big of a deal to you? You allergic or something? Pup got you sneezing through the tv or what?!
“OMG wE’Ve HaD To sEe HiS dOg a CoUpLe TiMeS”
What kinda twat waffle complains about this stupid shite
Ahhh I see. I frickin nailed it

I bring this up, as Kirk has been on ESPN for awhile. But I feel like it was either just before Covid or during the Covid period when Kirk had his first dog who passed away. That I understood. But now for the last couple of years Kirk has this second dog and we see him like every broadcast now.
Is it some sort of medical condition? Anxiety? I feel like it's gone overboard and just become weird.
I think he started bringing his dog when he was doing the Thursday Night NFL games, then flying to gameday Friday, then doing gameday Saturday morning, then flying out to do a primetime game elsewhere that night, then flying home Sunday. They didn't start making a big thing of it until a few years ago.

I would rather have the dog on air than Paul Finebaum. In fact the dog would be better than most ESPN announcers.

Are you really that insecure that you have to bring your dog everywhere? I guess your dog has to be the real man and make up for you being the pussy.
Let me be very clear as I am done with this thread. My life, and any humans life, is more important and takes priority over the life and freedom of any pet, including a dog. My life, and any humans life, is more important than Kirk's dog. This is a fact, case closed.
We're not talking some small population. It is estimated that 1 in 3 adults in the U.S. has some sort of allergy, whether it is a seasonal allergy, pet/dander allergy or a food allergy.
And last time I checked, places like schools and airplanes have banned peanuts because of tree nut allergies. Sorry you are inconvenienced.
You all act like I'm saying euthanize all dogs. I love dogs, it kills me that I can't one myself. I don't react to all dogs, but I'm always careful around a new dog as I just don't know my reaction level. But dogs are not as important as humans.
All I'm saying is dogs, outside of service dogs, should not be in restaurants (I mean that is just disgusting and a health code violation), retail stores, event places, hotels (outside of specific pet friendly rooms) and airplanes.
Being outside, at home, in someone's car/RV, at a park, that's all fine. Is it really that much to ask that dogs not be in places they really should never have been in the first place?
And for those trashing me, look in the mirror. Bet at least 50% of you criticizing my "genetics" are on ozempic/fat medication, heart medication, cholesterol medication, diabetes medication or all of them. Maybe it's your genetics who shouldn't be passed along.
Holy shite this is great

frick him and his dog. Leave your dog at home

Wait, you think non football fans are watching a football game to maybe see Kirks dog?
Posted on 9/2/25 at 2:34 pm to TigerSharkMan
im sure the one that died got a ton of positive feedback from viewers. Other than shitting on the grass when they kick a fg i don't see an issue with him having his dog come on set
