BC Miami 1984. Not just the Flutie Hail Mary but that game was a barnburner

The pre-game hype was like a Super Bowl in October. The game itself did not disappoint. Don't know what the ratings were, but everyone I knew watched it.

One great game that’s largely forgotten about is the ‘93 ND/BC game. Phenomenal game that was coming off the ND/FSU “game of the century” the prior week.

Feel like the Catholics vd Convicts game is generally recognized as the single most hyped regular season game right? Other than that for games that I can speak to hard to argue against the Bush Push game

Do conference title games qualify? If so, the 1998 Big 12 CCG, 2012 SECCG, and 2025 Big 10 CCG are all up there, even though the first of the 3 broke the hearts of the entire nation.

2001 Tennessee vs Florida in the Swamp. It was played later in the year because of 9/11 and was a hell of a game

In my lifetime, I'm not sure if I've seen a better regular season game than 2001 Tennessee/Florida. Those were two really, really good teams who both brought their A game. Not many mistakes by either team. A lot of really well executed plays. Enormously high stakes.
2005 Fresno State/USC will never get mentioned in discussions like this, but that was another amazing game.

2007 Pitt v WV was one of the more impactful rivalry game upsets of all time.

I agree with this, and I have met a lot of Florida fans who agree with this too.

Kick 6 has to be up there. Maybe, Nick’s worst coaching decision in his career.

It was a tense game, but otherwise boring for anyone who wasn’t an Alabama or LSU fan.
