If you had to do a Mount Rushmore of these types of games, which would you select and why?

I think 1971 Nebraska-Oklahoma has to be included; so, too, does (regrettably) the 2013 Alabama-Auburn game. But what other games do you have?

2013 Auburn vs Georgia is one that is often forgot about because of what happened a few weeks later

I don’t know but Alabama has to be in a good number of them with the triumphs and heartbreaks they’ve had over the last ~15 years.

GT vs UGA 2024 - 8 overtimes was great. We lost, but still a helluva game.

Fun fact about that one: Miami had more Catholics on its roster than Notre Dame.

Bama related:
2009 vs LSU (game of the century)
2012 vs A&M (Manziel)
2012 SECCG vs UGA (defacto NC)
2013 @ AU (kick 6)
2019 vs LSU (Burrow / Trump)
2022 @ TN (Goalpost game)
2023 @ AU (4th and 31/gravedigger)

All of those games were nationally significant and were pretty much peak CFB.

I think Florida-Auburn ‘94 deserves a mention. From a Tennessee fan perspective, ‘01 Florida and ‘22 Bama were truly great games.

I don’t remember the whole game but the kick six game had a bad arse ending.

App State vs Michigan 2007 was pretty badass also.

Personal post-2000 favorites (or ones that LSU was involved in that I hate the outcome of) that I think are historic/incredible games, not necessarily a Mount Rushmore:

LSU v. UGA 2003
LSU v. Auburn 2007
LSU v. UF 2007
LSU v. Alabama 2011
LSU v. Alabama 2012
LSU v. A&M 2018
LSU v. Alabama 2019
LSU v. Ole Miss 2023

As a neurtral observer, I don't know if it gets any better than A&M '18 or Ole Miss 2023.

I think LSU/Bama 2011 or 2019 go on a Mount Rushmore purely based on talent on the field alone. LSU/UF 07 could go on one as well.

Obviously 2013 Iron bowl, 2008 UT vs. Texas Tech, 2007 App. State v. Michigan.

2007 Florida @ LSU

- UF were reigning national champs
- Entire stadium erupting when Stanford’s historic upset of USC was announced.
- 5 fourth down conversions
