After mostly avoiding the rest of the site and only wandering this direction due to sheer boredom during this slow period, I have a newfound respect for Lester Earl after seeing his troll game
Many bravos good sir

That's a false equivalency. "Keep politics out of sports" should equal "Keep politics out of sports"
Are you saying that had he not said what he said politics would have been “out of sports”?
Lol. Ok.
You seem to think I would rather a little bit of politics in sports over a lot of politics, based on the fact that I would prefer none.
False.
Preference order.
1) no politics
2) all political opinions
3) only my political opinions
4) only opposing politics opinions to my own
We are currently at 4. 1 is not option. So preferring 2 is not hypocrisy.
It’s you not understanding the situation.

Nice…keep politics out of sports…unless I agree with those politics.

Jack del Rio preaching gospel truth. :america:

I mean, the BLM matters protests were far more costly by every objective metric (deaths, injuries, money, time, jobs, etc.) than anything that happened on January 6th. Both events were ignited by lies and misinformation.
It’s only absurd if you actually believe January 6th was a well organized insurrection attempt by people who actually had any chance of being successful in that attempt, neither of which is true. It was a bunch of retards who got caught up in the heat of the moment and spent a couple hours taking pictures in the Capital and stealing flagpoles

Only people like you think that's worthy of being fired for

He is right, the riots of that summer caused way more damage than Jan.6, more lives were lost, he is 100 % correct.

He's 100% right.
If he values his job above all, it was a poor decision to offer this opinion.
A white person simply isn't free to offer a public opinion on this without penalty.
I never got justice for what other people did to me throughout 36 years! That is why this Country is so bad and other Countries hate America. It has become a one sided for power and control for their own agenda!

Had Del Rio said the exact opposite (that the Floyd protests were good, but the Capital storming was bad), would there be posters in here wishing we kept politics out of sports?
No i wouldn’t have. But at the same time I’ve never said anything about not wanting politics in sports. I’ve said before I’d rather more of my politics/beliefs in sports but it seems like that is frowned upon.
And if he had said that, do you think he’d get fired? (He will most likely get fired for this, which is absolute bull shite)
Yet a few guys don’t wanna wear a rainbow hat and everyone in sports media flips out

I think it's time people stop trying to cancel others over their opinions. Good to see his own star player take up for him in stating that he is allowed to have a different opinion. Good for Del Rio.

I wish he wouldn’t voice his political opinions because I doubt he’s qualified and I certainly don’t want to hear them.
Then again, that’s my stance for pretty much all sports figures who get involved in political discussion except for some specific instances.

I don’t care if he’s fired or not. Just a brain dead comment considering the league & it’s players supper the BLM initiative. How do you expect this to end brether

Surprised he hasn’t been fired.
He’s 1000% correct, but still surprised he hasn’t been fired
