That was my nice way of not calling you a fricking liar for putting words in his mouth and continuing going back and forth after showing what you'd done with quotes. It felt pointless, so laying it out there for others to see was as much effort as I wanted to add to that.

So you don't want something unless you agree with it? That's some liberal bullshite.

Revealing that I like hearing opinions I agree with more than opinions I disagree with isn’t the “gotcha” you think it is. I already said that there is a measure of hypocrisy in this entire debate. On the other side however, there is a legion of people who love hearing athletes speak that “coincidentally” agree with what the athletes are saying

Very simply put: 50/50 split on politics in sports is worse than no politics in sports

Exactly why do Popovich and Kerr constantly speak about Marxist agendas during their 'sports' press conferences?

Atleast the Uvalde shooting is current events. George Floyd happened like 3 years ago. The capital protest happened a year and a half ago.

For politics to be “kept out” of sports they would have to be “out of sports”.
That is a necessary requirement. They are not.

Sure, but whenever Pop and Kerr say something politically stupid, is the majority of the responses on this board not "shut up and do your job"/"keep politics out of sports"?

Yes

But are they fired for it?

One side faces losing their side and being attacked publicly, one side has some message board posters tell them to shut up

Do you see an ounce of difference?

Hell yeah, I see the difference. But I also see the hypocrisies in the reaction from people.

“Don’t punch people in the face”

So a lot of straight up murdering and self defense situations.

I appreciate you doing the some of the work.

I also remember that old black ex police officer being murdered in cold blood.

But really bad shite all around.

Seems much worse than Jan 6th to me.

But Jan 6th is being overblown(imo) while the riots were minimized(imo). For that reason alone I will put my stake in the ground on the side of the Jan 6th idiots. I can’t stand this media and political slanted news.

Do you think maybe the hypocrisy comes from the ridiculous nature of the other side?

Let me give you an example. I am 100% for the covid vaccine. But I absolutely u set stand the totalitarian actions of the democrats over the last few years are to blame for the hard line stance some republicans took in regards to the vaccine

You can’t be absolutely vindictive in nature for years, and then hope the other side just shuts up and plays nice. The tribal nature of todays times were 100% due to the actions of the left. No way around that fact

That's a false equivalency.

"Keep politics out of sports" should equal "Keep politics out of sports"

This is far too simple minded of a take for a human being

One can truly be for peace, and not war. But we are human. If we see 1,000 of our people get slaughtered, the human element will have you happy when a life of the other side is taken even if you truly are against the killing

This is no different. People are tired of the constant politics of everyday life. But when one side has to sit silent while they are constantly berated by the opinions of the other, they are going to feel a glimmer of happiness when someone who agrees with them does finally speak out

It's just so exhausting seeing people say objectively true things and having it lead to drama, regardless of whether JDR gets in real trouble or not

Strengthening your point is that most of us wouldn’t know Del Rio said this if it wasn’t for a liberal clown bringing it to the board announcing that Del Rio probably isn’t long for a job

It wasn’t “hey this is dumb raise your hand if you disagree with what he said.”

It was “ohhhhhhhh this jerk is FIRED.”
