We are watching the implosion of college football in real time

It's lasted 152 years and it may not last another 10.

What are we betting?

It really is amazing what we’ve seen the last month.

It really is. NCAA really had a 1 page document in how to manage this. CFB will never be the same and that sucks.

Boys and girls this is what CFB has been since forever. Player we’re getting paid to go places.
Cam Newton….
Cam Newton….

It will be different. We'll get used to it. Moving on.

Less dedicated players has to lead to less dedicated fans.
Not sure that’s true. People still like the NFL.

So stupid. When in history has a starting underclassman QB play for a division rival 9 months later?

All they had to do was not change anything. Simply do nothing.
You transfer, you sit.
You don’t get paid.
Deal with it.

For some really good players yeah, but not half of each signing class.

Remember when Aaron Rodgers just left Green Bay?
Posted on 12/15/21 at 8:36 pm to Jim Rockford
We are witnessing unnecessary whining from fans at unprecedented level. Pussies.

not like they did when we had teams like the Houston Oilers
I grew up in Houston
Loved my Oilers...moved to Raleigh in 1994...then the Oilers were no more
to this day, I have no pro team that I call mine...I couldn't care less about the Panthers...Yuk...
Today, I pull for Burrow and the bengals...
It's a mess...all the Woke stuff, the stupid contracts, twitter, I don't like the NFL nearly as much I once did
Paying kids coming out of HS 6 and 7 figures will ruin the sport we love...
it is what it is- dumb!

Yes. But it was at least somewhat difficult and there were sometimes consequences. It wasn’t perfect but just letting it happen wasn’t the answer.
I think the transfer waiver is worse though. I don’t like NIL by itself but a drunken koala could have foreseen that you just can’t combine the two.

Where are all the capitalists today?
The market is now less 'regulated' and is efficiently doing what it has not been able to do in the last 152 years. Well, certainly the last 20-25!
All parts of the college football value chain get to participate 'more freely' in the market...
Ironically speaking, players' market prices are now free (as in, not $$free$$ anymore)

I'm a beta for not melting about NIL?
Interesting.
