shite will even out when boosters get burned by the Rattler, Ewers and Mertz’s of the college football world.

Hate to tell you but we're just back to where we were...
What you are seeing isn't all that different from what Nebraska did with their walk ons.
Or Bear did with his roster management of 150 players (or more).
I'm not saying it will correct itself, or be corrected.
I am saying get it while the getting is good. The high moral ground resides in the cellar of the conference.
Does having a superstar who you praise in the media every chance you get, who starts as a freshman, who quits in the middle of a season, transferring in-conference stop us from signing other super stars, or even seeking them out? No.
It will not "even out". It never ever has. It is not designed to even out, self-correct, or even be a level playing field (from any of the participants POV). It is what it is. Waiting for it to even out is like waiting for the school bully to apologize and pay you all that lunch money back- with interest. It's like waiting for gravity to change so the fat guy on the other side of the seesaw will give you a chance to see, or saw. It's like waiting for Les Miles to change his offense; no matter how many times he says he will- the definition of "change" will be benching the best RB at that time.

Stupidity at its finest. It’s reaching the high school level as well. Pretty soon, the only thing left pure will be peewee football.
Shamefully, fans will adapt, they will continue to make their millions and life will go on… but I won’t watch anymore. Lifelong fan. Season ticket holder. LSU grad. The sport is now garbage. I’d rather watch the stories.

such drama queens
Not sure how you root for a “team” where the players all change and go somewhere else after one year

If we were right here in Dec 2019 there would be a lot fewer LSU fans shitting on CFB.

Clue me in. What did I miss?

I mean, the NIL shite is bad enough, but to double down and allow no consequences for transferring before graduating was completely idiotic because it just turned college sports into free agency pros.
I am glad I am not invested as much as in the past in this shite.

Can't wait for the day an offensive lineman allows his own million dollar QB to get sacked because the lineman may only be getting $2k to rep the donut a day club at Krispy Kreme and he decides the QB should be paying out bonuses.
"Hey Mr. QB man. Nice little gig you got going here. Shame if something should happen to make it all go away."

Not sure that’s true. People still like the NFL.
The NFL has a salary cap, a draft, trade deadlines, playing contracts, etc. Just like every other professional sports league

and unfettered free agency. Could you imagine a rookie NFL player who just signed a 4 year contract being able to bounce without consequence to a better team after 1 season?

We used to travel a lot in the fall and we'd check on college football scores on the late TV newscasts on Saturday nights.
No place out of the SEC cared enough about the scores to even mention football games that day. New England - we'd thought that there were no sports until the Patriots game.
Midwest- nope. California nope.
So did the potential audience attend the games (ha) or listen on radio (doubtful) or watch the minor games on TV, not that they were there.
So where are all the advertisers's dollars going to enrich the college boys and get fans interested in the advertisers' products?
Value for money? I see where the collapse could start.
In a time of depression, HC salaries keep going up, players strutting like peacocks, half empty stadiums, and where are the dollars going to come from for the payout from CBS and ESPN to the colleges with their millions coming in? Or not.
The days when hoards of young teenaged boys waited outside of the Denver Bronco stadium to see John Elway after a practice may well be long gone.

Player we’re getting paid to go places.
In the 20's Notre Dame had mercenaries, players would be enrolled at the school for a year and then never heard from again.
They couldn't make the grade after a semester when grades came out...and then new "student-athletes" would come in, win a Natty and never graduate.
This "idyllic" past never existed in College. Players were throwing games in, taking bribes in basketball and being paid by "handlers."

I just checked and have to say I am fricking AMAZED at how few players are in the portal leaving Bama.
They are stacked with players with 4 and 5 stars not getting playing time and yet they don't leave.
LINK
It seems it mostly midlevel teams that are seeing large numbers jump ship?

So you never got local Big 10 scores in the Midwest or Pac scores in Cali? Nah, won’t believe that

Nick has unfortunately created the most well oiled program in all of collegiate sports history. The culture he has built there is incredible.
The fact that he gets guys to stay and wait their turn, like you said, and then even when guys like Jaylen Waddle are clearly hurt and are willing to still play despite everyone in the media crying about it.
