Blue Jays had multiple opportunities to win. And basically one chance to lose it.

1997 Indians was pretty bad (first team to lead Game 7 in the 9th and blow it) and this was reminiscent.

Indians losing to both the Marlins and Cubs in game 7 extra innings, the only times this had happened before this year’s Jays.

Buckner’s ankles were so bad he could barely stand up let alone bend over. His manager had taken him out of games for defense when Boston was ahead like 100% of the time, but suddenly in the biggest game of the year when his team is playing for the big trophy he gets emotional and “wants Buckner on the field for the final out.” Screw that s**t, win the damn game and then Buckner can spray champagne in the clubhouse like everyone else. That situation was on John McNamara, not Bill Buckner. And Rich Gedman for missing the pitch that was wrongly scored a wild pitch although if you look at it in the clip from behind the batter that’s rarely shown instead of the one from CF that’s always shown where Mookie Wilson dives for cover like he was about to get hit when the ball was never close to him, it was an obvious passed ball and was easily catchable.

As a Rangers fan, this.

They were an out away twice in the same game.

Right.

To older fans, this reminds me of the 1960 World Series, in which Pittsburgh Pirates won their games by much closer margins but won game 7 on a surprising home run by Bill Mazeroski.

No, I hate the mean, nasty, petty, and ungrateful liberal Canadians.

I like the conservatives ones, however.

Yet there was only 1 true Canadian on BOTH teams.
