Ditto. She basically denied and then blamed her resignation on the social media meanies. He had “difficult conversations” because he had no other option.

Depending on how that "difficult conversation" went, he might still be.

that's not how that works. He'd have to do more to prove that their hanging out was platonic, provide context missing from those photos (good luck), get their alleged involved friends (mysteriously missing from photos) to attest to it, get spouses to agree with them, etc. Add the "actual malice" requirement of a public figure and that's a waste of time suing even if he's innocent Also, the second he sues he opens himself up to discovery. Text messages in this context would not be an aspirational ask by the defendants, they would 100% get access to them The only way he wins any suit is if he's not actually fricking her
The Page Six article didn’t say they were fricking. It said “ New England Patriots’ Mike Vrabel and top NY Times NFL reporter Dianna Russini hold hands and hug at luxury hotel”. There’s not anything for them to even sue about.

He should ask Bill Clinton to make a statement on his behalf.

That would be par for the course for a “leader of men” I guess.
Do you think a single Patriots player gives a shite? 90% have a piece of strange on the side. If anything, this episode gives Vrabel more credibility in the locker room.

And she still looks like she’s fading in addition to being an obvious ho and horrible wife who repeatedly and publicly attempted to humiliate her husband.
Just an awful human being.

I never said they’d care. It’s just one of those things that makes you realize how slimy a guy is. Kids look up to these guys. As an adult, you know better. Maybe he is a good coach, but he’s still a garbage human.

Eh, I think there are some guys in there that are practicing Christians that might not think he’s one of the cool kids because he fricks around behind his wife.

Just got notification that Vrabel said he will be going to counseling.
Stark contrast from Russini who basically called everybody a liar.

There’s one in here that still thinks nothing happened. Vrabel basically admitted it without admitting it in his statement. They were caught by a PI hired by one of the spouses. The other spouse could have spoken up and doused the flames, but she chose not to…gee, wonder why?

There's plenty of loyal married men in the nfl whose wives aren't happy with this. 90% having a side piece is a gross overexaggerated opinion

So I'm kind of torn on this.
Missing day 3 of the draft, where you have 8 (!!!) picks to try to round out a Super Bowl contending roster, to try to save your marriage is a big deal. I'm not sure how many other coaches in the same situation would do that.
But announcing it in a "look at what a leader I am, look at what I'm doing, look at me" type way seems kind of performative for a situation that should be handled privately. Saying he'll miss day 3 of the draft for personal reasons would've been enough for most people and for the people who'd want more, frick em.

What’s an act perceived as performative going to do though? Make people dislike him?
He / the Pats are desperate to get on to business as usual. Any progress in cooling the temperature will be worth it to them

I get confused on when certain people care about the bible.
You shall not commit adultery
Is this one of those times or we like Vrabel and this is not one of those times ? Or is this one of those times you attack the person asking the question?

Seems like that’s exactly what’s happened, judging by the comments on the X tweet posted above. Like 95% of them are saying it’s artificial PR. His cinematic monologue about what a leader he is was an unforced error IMO.
