He has an LSU logo by his name, not a mullet "A". If you want to blame anybody for this shite, blame Sabear and bammer from 2007 onward.

i just don’t see how you have continued support when you’re asking fans to root for essentially a brand new team every year

constant turnover and no stability, I don’t even know how much longer boosters will put up with it

They will keep doing it because the fans are addicted to the sport and care too much about winning.

No one is willing to stand on principle if it means losing.

NCAA can't thanks to lawyers and judges.

It won't be able to do anything until it gets some antitrust protection from Congress. Wait til eligibility limits are erased by the courts. That's coming .

Yep. I’ll still watch every Saturday but I care way less than I used to. I don’t bother learning the names on the roster, and high school recruiting is entirely dead.

You guys crying about having to learn new player names, etc are just funny. Who the heck cares about their names. We root for our TEAM and the players are lucky to be on those teams. I could care less about any player individually or as a person. They are just 1 of 11 on the field wearing my teams uniform and helmet. They don’t know me and I don’t know them.

I assure you, it isn't directed only at LSU, don't feel special

But it was directed at the SEC, when in reality it is each conference‘s fault but the B1G and SEC especially so because neither would shut the frick up about how much TV money each conference made.

The conferences’ and schools’ continued attempt to squeeze every single fricking penny out of every single fricking consumer resulted in this, not the alleged cheating with impunity you midwestern hypocrites throw at the feet of SEC fans

NIL is not the issue here. Look at the recruiting rankings and you'll find the SEC is doing just fine when it comes to recruiting players from high school. The issue is the transfer portal and how every single offseason a coach has to recruit his roster to remain with the team. That shouldn't be how that works.
Transfers sitting out a year would put an end to a lot of that.

I still support my team, and I think with the current states of college sports, that needs to be the focus.

I support my team, but could care less about any of the players.

I mean what do you want them to do? They've lost every court case related to these issues. They have no power to do anything about it, and it's not like they haven't tried.

It is Professional Football now. What is the big deal? Why is it so bad for you because it is now professional football?

If you want pure student-athlete amateur college football, you should watch Division III football. In fact, the Div III National Championship is on ESPN tomorrow night.

Tune in if you want to see amateur student-athletes play college ball. I will watch it, even though I know that Edna Karr High School could probably beat both teams.

The problem is it's a much worse version. Compare LSU and the Saints this year. Even though the Saints had no shot at the playoffs, it has been fun watching the young guys play well. It's enjoyable because we know they will be there next year. There is incentive to stay connected to a bad team.

With LSU, as soon as they are out of the playoff, I have no incentive to keep watching. Most of the team won't be there next year.

That's true, so, the argument that College Professional Football needs better rules is a very sound argument.

There hasn't been much said about where the money is orifinating for the NILs.
Some corporations and individuals fit the "filthy rich" niche and right now, they are enjoying 'buying' players. Yes, I know the word buying isn't a good description, but I don't choose to describe in mellow details what they are doing.
They didn't get rich by throwing money after lost causes and sinking ships.
How many years will they continue to splurge millions to buy out coaches' contracts, to buy players who don't work at their skill set but expect to coast on their talent?

And the tax accountant in the room maybe already has a way they can write off the millions. Until that gets tossed as not an eligible business expense or not a valid 401(c)3?

That why we hired Kiff. He apparently knows the terrain. He acts the players age too so they like that
