What's with this thread title? I'm not seeing that he retired anywhere?

The title was done within seconds of the hit in the game last night. It was a joke, but I agree it should probably be changed now that this thread has lasted more than an hour on the front page.

Would a Guardian Cap have helped last night? The video I saw (here) had him acting like a battering ram, a compression from the top of his head down. the action that caused his neck to wobble would have damaged regardless of the protection of the crown of his head.
I could be wrong, but there are things you can't protect against like a sharp hit on the middle of a thin narrow bone, no matter how much muscle etc. encases it.

Tua was posturing after the tackle. That's deep brainstem signs. What is the number now 3 or 4? Guy is playing Russian Roulette with his faculties, possibly his life.

What's the NFL's policy on stacking 5 of those things?

And he drove into Hamlins chest.

Imagine those optics.

Tua in fencing position. Hamlin passed out from an arrhythmia. Not dead like last time just miss enough beats to pass out then pop back. Cleaning up the scenario because I don’t want to see a poor bastard die.

Tua is just a worst case scenario. Good luck telling a 23(?) year old guy to hang it up and leave millions on the table. 30+ year old guy walks away.

My old arse walks away. But 23 year old me?? “It may never happen again. I’ll be more careful…” would have to be tough to not listen to that voice.

Well now the male sports landscape has gone overboard making everything an overreaction like a concerned Mommy. Crossing the street can be Russian Roulette and nobody's paying you $100 mil to get to the other side.

Did the last 50 years in football not happen?. I must've missed all the under 70 years old, HOFers walking around like zombies drooling jello.

Troy Aikman had about 20 concussions, he's in a booth, intelligible most of the time.

We should be so lucky ! Good guy. Good qb. Against the best teams/ defenses ...not. Accurate, all of that. Shouldn't have got the big deal . I prayed they wouldn't give him a big extension because he's more susceptible to concussions than anyone. That hit ! A concussion?? His head hit his arm. But now 8-10 weeks from now(should be when at least) he's gonna be all ,"Hawaii", "warrior",etc gotta play. If he wouldn't play another down he's probably still gonna collect, what 90 sum-million $$$. Health first dude ,just give it up

Its not a football problem, its a Tua problem.

Some people are highly susceptible to altitude sickness despite their dreams of being the next Sir Edmund Hillary. Do we ban all mountaineering?

The media likes to take one or two guys and create an epidemic out of thin air.

Not everyone is meant for everything.....I hate the changing of the game to accommodate rare outliers.

The thread title really needs to be changed.

Saw the video of Tua and he voluntarily ran headfirst into defender. Why????

At this point I think they're leaving it just to troll everyone bitching about it, including myself.

All concussions aren’t the same. How many times has Aikman thrown up gang signals while laying on the ground?

If it's proven he can't play again he gets $160 million

It seems much more dicey if he gets cleared but "decides" to not play anymore. Sounds like it's still around $100 million

That's more than almost anyone on this board will ever earn
