I got hit by someone in high school by a player that went on to play in the NFL and it’s different.

At what point do we let personal accountability be a deciding factor? Tua is a participating adult being paid millions, he isn’t being forced to take these hits. If a player takes shot after shot to the head and wants to keep playing, that shouldn’t fall onto the NFL.

Yeah but they can make an ESPN special about him and try and make you feel sorry for him because he was an idiot and kept returning to the game that made him into a potato if he goes back out there.

nfl doesn't want their fans seeing that. Especially wife's and kids who may be skeptics about safety of the sport. Less kids playing, less kids watching.

It’s gonna be up to doctor to clear him, not his decision.

If it was first or second concussion maybe, but now we are talking long-term health and parents eyes on the game.

I don’t think anyone is saying that a concussion is going to kill him. I think the point is that he has had multiple concussions (including some fairly severe ones) in just a couple of years, and that could really impact his brain later in his life.

Didn’t the NFL approve those guardian caps to wear during the games? Why wouldn’t Tua wear one?

No way. I don't believe you.

I was told he really died, and that those were just shots of someone else we were seeing in the suite the rest of that season.

Can’t wait to watch the Rich Eisen show today. He slobs on Tua’s knob like no other.

Too late for him I think. He’s a boxer who lost his chin. No guardian cap will help that.

Last year he was BLASTED and knocked out. This hit was mild by comparison and he initiated the contact somewhat.

The optics are awful too. He goes into that pugilist stance with his arms.

Depends on what you consider "life". Is he going to die? No.

But he's had what, 4-5 concussions in 3 seasons or something. He's at the beginning of his career. How easily he got another one last night, if he plays out a whole career his brain is gonna be scrambled eggs.

What an idiot lol

I don’t know if he has, but he definitely should strongly consider it.
I wish it weren’t true, but when you have multiple concussions from sports or otherwise, you are definitely playing with fire. I know a young man in his early 20s who had five concussions from soccer. He has a life of continual headaches and the ability to barely function mentally because it literally is hard to think. His lives with his parents who are looking after him and will for the rest of his life and their lives. I wish Tua the best. He needs to do what’s best for him and family.

Seriously. If that is not an accurate claim mods should reword the title.
