There are several brands above or right with Texas… Alabama, ND, tOSU, USC, UM. The “U” doesn’t belong anymore.
For Texas it’s more the money poured into the brand than success on field, admittedly. Similar arc as the cowboys lately.

They still have one of the biggest and most loyal fan bases of any sports team on the planet, their logo is instantly recognizable, and they bring in huge ratings whenever they play in prime time.
That is sort of what happens when you have a HoF QB for 30 years, look at what they were in the 70s and 80s after Lombardi left.

You’re probably right with ND, but I feel like certain schools (Notre Dame, Texas, Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, Florida, Miami - “The U”) are bigger brands than most realize.
Are you asking which American team or popular in America? Bc no college team belongs on the list of you meant a Global brand.

They were still selling the stadium out in those years and even in 4-12 seasons playing on the road in Tampa or anywhere else where both teams were putrid they’d pull in a bigger crowd than any other home team did with other teams as their opponent.
The Favre years created the “Wal-mart” Packer fan base but pinned underneath that they have always had a ridiculous following who will spend money on that franchise.

As evidenced by the melting pot that is Atlanta (fans in stadiums)
1) Cubs
2) Lakers
3) Cowboys
4) Dodgers
5) Red Sox

So popular they had to play in County Stadium in Milwaukee?

In for a very rude awakening. SEC takes no prisoners.

Lol at the Packers being on there. They’re not even in the top 5 in the NFL in terms of value. I would think you have to throw the Bulls on there just based on the Jordan impact.
Yankees
Bulls
Lakers
Cowboys
Warriors
Can maybe switch Dodgers or Red Sox with Warriors.
