Every team had a handful of guys who could compete at most 5A schools but the rest of the team was made up of players wouldn’t sniff the field anywhere else.

Riverside in reserve has been pretty questionable within the last 10 years. First basketball and now football.

They are also very competitive in baseball. Think they had one of the best season in regards to wins last season.

John Curtis is close to the top and don't even try to deny it.

Wrong. I been living in the area for 20 years and Riverside always had a decent to very good football team.

They used to recruit other schools for all sports, but especially football

I know it but there are those here that will deny it. I know 100% for a fact a D-1 player that was recruited by JT Curtis to come there. FWIW JT got turned down.

There has to be some shady shite going on at De LaSalle. They were crap in all sports for years.

As an alum. I can't even argue with this. New coach came in and started recruiting. Tons of athletes at that school now. Football team is full of guys who are gonna play FBS or FCS football next year and beyondZ

Glassman. I graduated in 13. Our basketball team won 20 games in '12 and '13. This was before the split. I still say to this day that we would have won state in basketball playing with the split there is today. We were the best catholic school in the state for our enrollment.

Salmen.

I remember when Opelousas high under Larry Dauterive was destroying teams 64-0, 88-6, etc and beat John Curtis in a triple OT game. Then we went to salmen and somehow didn't score a point but had about 4-5 touchdowns called back.

Not really Salmen but it was clear at that game by the officiating that the crew was told to make sure that Salmen won.

Because certain schools (John Curtis private school) has about 850 students, and over 100 of them play football.

And they are all athlete's.

And they would beat up on public schools with only the same amount of students. But only has about 10 decent football players

In AL, they count the private school enrollment at 1.5x and force them to play in that class.

Briarwood, for example is about a 3A school by enrollment, but has to compete in 5A athletics.
