He can’t elaborate because he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

Easy look at the schools that have been sanctioned the most by the lhsaa in recent years

On the surface this would make sense, but some types of cheating are VERY difficult to prove. Some private high schools have bag men. The bag may have cash, the keys to a car, etc. We all know that it happens, but it would take a kid that is receiving the cash, car etc. to turn them in. Good luck with that! Some public high schools are using “out of district “ referrals from psychiatrists. In short, Superstar Johnny can’t handle being at public school A (which sucks in sports) so his doctor states it would be much better for him psychologically and health-wise to attend public school B (who just so happens to be great in sports (football). The list of alleged violators is a list of most of the dominant programs in the state. Besides, even when they are caught...nothing really happens. The LHSAA, much like the NCAA, turns a blind eye towards its cash cows. Many morons on here have said this is a private/public issue, but the reality is it is a cheater vs rule follower issue. Go look at the votes, most of the smaller private schools voted for the split. Why wouldn’t they. What small school, that is playing within the rules, would want to play a cheating powerhouse. At this point the split is here to stay and that’s that. FWIW, my school is a traditional public school that voted against the split. However, it is a 5A school that has a longstanding tradition in football. Most of the traditional public schools in our area voted for the split, as did most of the smaller private schools. Such is life.

West Monroe has been mentioned multiple times. So because they have been a consistent winner for 25 years they are "corrupt"? I am also shocked that Neville wasnt mentioned.

Shows was one of the most sanctioned coaches by the LHSAA. He testified to the LA Senate subcommittee that he had never been disciplined by the LHSAA when he was currently being disciplined by the LHSAA.

No doubt he was shady, yet disciplined is past tense whereas “being disciplined “ is in process. Is it splitting hairs yes, is it disingenuous-yes, is it a lie-no. As for bag men, they exist at the high school level. All it takes is one elite athlete to make a difference at a smaller school, and two or three to make a difference at a larger school. I personally know of a young man that drove a brand new Acura until he graduated. After that, back to being on foot. Let’s just say he couldn’t afford the lease. As for the public school example I gave, I also know of twins where the really great athlete when to the out of district football powerhouse and the not so good athlete went to the proper local public school. And yes, they lived in the same home.

They were. The issue is proof, in the case of cash etc., and litigation (if a school system were to “force” a young man to attend his “home district school “...and he supposedly harmed himself as a result - then hello Mr. Ambulance chaser) in the case of the psych transfer. Cash and/or lawyers are no bueno.

Private high school athletes don’t get bags of cash. A handful a year get their tuition waived......making it free like if they went to the public school.

That is true now with “community grants “ or whatever, but that wasn’t always the case. I have been around the game a couple of decades plus so my memories go back a ways.

Actually it was just as many private principals as public ones that started the play in class thing in 2003 which led to split

Salmen. I remember when Opelousas high under Larry Dauterive was destroying teams 64-0, 88-6, etc and beat John Curtis in a triple OT game. Then we went to salmen and somehow didn't score a point but had about 4-5 touchdowns called back. Not really Salmen but it was clear at that game by the officiating that the crew was told to make sure that Salmen won.

Oh my.... You're right salmen did pay the refs for that game. But the refs for that game had to drive through Opelousas to get to Slidell for that game

I was on the sidelines with a coach.

Tigers did have 2 TD called back for illegal formations - which were both just having 6 on line of scrimmage. One WR same one both times lined up off and checked w wing official as OFF. Same thing happened in JC game but it was missed

Another long run that was not a TD was called back but it was sprung by a great tackle on a spartan LB at the point of attack

Throughout his career dauterive had highly penalized teams......Stubbs who was then at salmen had very very lowly penalized teams and hey were very good

To say they were corrupt based on that games officiating is laughable......
