re: 2026 Louisiana HS Baseball Season

I’m genuinely asking here — if we agree the lack of foul territory isn’t ideal, wouldn’t we also agree that having a telephone pole in the field of play makes it less than suitable for a meaningful varsity game? I’m not saying Harahan can’t host games at all; it seems perfectly fine for lower-level or non-varsity games.

Hey Eric — let’s not oversell this thing into Fenway South. If you want home field advantage, just say that. Nobody faults you for wanting to play on your own field. But pretending it’s some elite baseball venue is laughable.
At the end of the day, it’s a horizontal football field that was retrofitted to host baseball games. The lighting is objectively poor because — unsurprisingly — it was built for Harahan playground football, not high school baseball. There’s literally a telephone pole sitting 8–10 feet off the left-center wall that becomes part of the playing environment. You’ve also got temporary construction-style chain link fencing held down by sandbags that are in the field of play. That alone should probably retire the “great park” argument permanently.
Then add in the poor sight lines, inadequate restroom setup, dugouts that clearly weren’t designed to handle the size of an actual high school roster, and a long list of other issues everyone conveniently ignores when trying to romanticize the place.
Y’all have a great program. Nobody disputes that. Year after year you compete with anybody in the state, and clearly your players know how to maximize the advantages of that field. Credit where it’s due.
But there’s a difference between a difficult place to play and a legitimately great baseball facility. One is true here. The other absolutely is not.

His team will have a bye this weekend for playoffs. If his team has a game Saturday, it is a scrimmage.

Jesuit currently has 2 district losses. Rummel and Brother Martin each have 3 district losses. Jesuit play Rummel tonight and on Saturday. Brother Martin plays Karr, so unlikely to have any other losses prior to wrapping up district play.

He threw 78 on Monday against Dutchtown after throwing 114 on prior Monday against Rummel. After the 78 against Dutchtown on Monday, he threw 54 against uhigh this past Saturday before he was taken out and put at catcher.

The fact that UNO, SUNO, and Dillard exist in such close proximity is comical- Especially with the highest graduation rate of the three being 42%.

re: Why aren’t we running hard after a hit?

Frey is only one that got out of box and went hard. Even Dickinson on Frey’s hit wasn’t hustling g to the plate. Again- this game is for a national championship.

No excuse there. You are playing for a national championship- possibly only maybe 3 more PA for the year, hustle and put your self in scoring position.

Could you not have responded along the lines of, “ as that is not my area of concentration any longer, I’m not sure I’d be able to get reacquainted with the material and info needed in the desired deadline..”. Rather than “it’s not my job.”

D2 is basically JV. Teams that are in newer programs, smaller school with limited players, or in The case you referenced- a large school with an established program that has enough younger players to play and compete I. Division 2.

Jesuits field is 5 minutes from its campus and very well layed out. The visitors are not at a disadvantage dug out wise and it’s an impressive stadium- harahans rec field although well maintained is not.

Miley has turf infield. Harahan is dirt- and although well maintained; no HS varsity games should played there. As previously mentioned, there is a padded telephone pole in play. No seating and just not suitable for anything but a last minute emergency game site.

312 is Miley.
Harahan is shorter with higher fence.

This may be the best way to put it. Middle/ High School student council making promises on items that can’t be accomplished the democratic way!

Yeah. I hear ya. My point is stay on topic and the message is clearer for those who aren’t decided. Don’t go on tangents and hope they caught the fact or message. State the fact and fact check her lies in rebuttal. No more no less.

At first. Then he took the bait from her and started talking about month 7,8, 9 and after birth.
I as president was able to get the federal government out of abortion law and get it to the citizens of each state to vote for the laws they want in their state. No tangents. No mud slinging. I did this for the people to vote.

Zero question on that my vote is Trump. He is not trying for my or your vote- his lack of focus and need to rebuttal her stupidity is not going to play well for the ones on the fence.
All he has to do is answer the question with facts and call her on lies (on that topic) and he would demolish her. Hr takes the bait and plays in the mud which is where the democrats shine.
