Yeah, when they actually execute the dunk there has been some spectacular dunks recently. The main problem is some of these guys are trying impossible dunks, others are doing basic dunks with corny props or gimmicks, and others just look like they didn't practice at all and embarrass themselves out there with 20 misses.

He Robbed Iggy in 2006

i agree

the problem is they're rewarded. just look at that 2006 contest i just posted with nate rob

jumping over a 5-7 spud webb isn't this amazing thing, and AI2s dunk was better, but nate got more hype

it is embarrasing what the dunk contest has become.

Last night was one of the better ones in recent memory. Terrence Ross showed how everyone can still be creative and flashy without all the crazy props.

Vince Carter is the greatest dunker of all-time. Jordan has nothing on him as a dunker.

This is absolutely absurd.

Peej, not every athlete who played before 1990 is the greatest athlete of all time.

You must not have watched many Toronto games in the early 2000s. Vince Carter in his prime was inhuman. LINK

Not saying they are. But since you were not even a thought in your daddys pants when Wilkens was playing you never saw him and his IN GAME dunking.

It's too bad he couldn't actually throw them down, but JW had what would've been some great dunks last night.

Bro, calm down. I watched that insecure a-hole play ball. I grew up watching him play, so keep your Antebellum sports story facade and shove it.

By the way, I hope you are doing well.

Being awesome in a dunk contest doesn't make you a super star. Had Carter, Francis or TMac went out and avg. 8 ppg they would've just been Harold Miner or Brent Barry.
