Agreed. This deal just makes LSU, Ole Miss, and Miss St part of the SEC in name only, if there are divisions. The rest of the west would just be old Big 8/Southwest conference. As much as it sucks losing to Bama every year, it's the one game all LSU fans schedule their lives' around.

We will melt for a while. There’s no real positive spin to it for us. We will make more money I guess. We don’t really need it though. We are in a better spot than we were 10 years ago for sure at least

Add the SEC brand to UT and it definitely helps their recruiting. Being on tv in SEC games every week beats the hell out of TLN for recruits.
