Texas didn't destroy the SWC. You may want to do some reading about Eric Dickerson, Craig James, Frank Broyles, and Jackie Sherrill. Enjoy.

I didn't want Arkansas and South Carolina in the SEC in 1992!
I didn't want A&M and Mizzou in the SEC in 2012!
And I sure as frick don't want Texas and OU in the SEC!
It's fricking pathetic to leave your conference. Only losers do that.
This kind of bullshite and a 12 team playoff is gonna ruin college football, till we have a 5 loss champion like the NFL.

You want Texas or OU…then another team from somewhere else in the East.
I’m ok with big schools being added to our current divisions, but essentially kicking LSU out of all their good matchups makes this terrible for LSU fans

Umm... so the entire SEC is pathetic? You realize all the original founders were in the Southern Conference before there was an SEC don't you?

Nobody cares how the Aggies feel.
I agree with them and I do not want Texas and OU in the SEC, but I do not care if the Aggies are upset or not.

This is a key point.
If the SEC takes in OU and Texas then the LHN gets re-cast as the SEC West Network (and probably get moved to Houston or Dallas) and the SECN Charlotte Operations can become the SEC East Network. This would save ESPN money and make the LHN sinking ship a valuable asset for all of the SECW teams.
Plus the added value of the Texas and OU brands to the conference

most ESPN customers get the SECN. Most DON'T get the Longhorn Network

What benefit does ABC/ESPN see in renegotiating a deal? Depending on the contract language of course.
Side note if you are a Mississippi school, Arkansas or even South Carolina why would you want this. That is two more in conference teams with huge branding that you have to jump in order to make the 12 team playoff.
The college landscape is going to go through majors changes in the next decade. Why throw a bone to 2 competitors?

The Red River Rivalry game will be a nice addition to the Iron Bowl and Cocktail Party. Austin would be a great road trip. It all comes down to this for me: would I want my kids to go to either ATM or Mizzou? Hell no. Would I want them to go to UT or OU? Hell yes.
