Didn’t Ohio St. get blown out by Michigan. The same Michigan team that TCU beat 9 days ago?

They got caught on a bad day. They didn’t get blown out either, game got away real late.

Ohio state led at half. It was a one score game with 7 minutes to go and Michigan broke off two 75+ yard runs on back to back series in the final 7. Ohio state had over 90 penalty yards. Michigan played its best in that second half and Ohio state played some of its worst. Play that game another 9 times and tOSU wins 8 of them.

Looking back Dave Aranda did pretty much give them that game against Baylor.

That said, TCU went undefeated in a Power Five, and had a better resume than any team that did not make it to the playoffs. They should have fallen to fourth, and this should have been a semi-final, but they beat undefeated Michigan. They had better wins than Bama, and one fewer loss. Them and Tennessee might have been equal in terms of wins, but the difference being Tennessee losing by 25 to South Carolina. USC had two losses to Utah, one being a blowout. TCU earned a spot, regardless of what tonight showed.

KState beat TCU and KState was man handled by Alabama......the TCU beat down at the hands of GA is not surprising.

If you put someone besides Tcu in then you may as well quit playing the regular season games or just use them for eye test

Seeding was the issue this year.

i think that was what most people thought as well.

i agree that you cant leave tcu out. you just cant. their resume was better than bama's. would i have picked bama 10 out of 10 times? yes. that's not the argument. the games matter. tcu deserved to make the playoff.

they should have been the 4 seed.

the CFP is supposed to be objective and TCU didn’t objectively deserve to be there.

Except they did. They went 12-0 had the best record in their conference by 2 games, they didn’t win the CCG but they had previous beaten KSU by 10. Objectively the way this season played out, they 100% deserved to be in.

Subjectively they weren’t a great team, they won a lot of close games and were clearly out matched by Georgia.

I'm not a TCU fan, but I was pulling for them in this game, just like I was pulling for Georgia last season (and used the Georgia logo for the Natty. I'm just sick of all the Bama d----riders who think Bama deserved to be in over TCU.

They didn’t do enough in the SEC to get a bid, but they were better than some of those who did. But that’s the way it shakes out these days.

Where’s he wrong? Alabama’s best wins were Texas (common opponent that TCU also beat by a wider margin), 4 loss Miss St and 5 loss Ole Miss. The 2 teams that made Bama’s schedule tougher than TCU’s were LSU and Tennessee…and Bama lost both

They deserved to, but didn’t belong. Michigan would put up a much better game but let shitty TCU beat them.

Funny how when OSU or Alabama lose they always seem to get caught on "bad days"

As if TCU didn't have a bad day last night and played their best ball.

The shilling for these blue Bloods by fans of other teams is tiring.

Yes and no.

Under the system in place, yes.

But they did not deserve to be there.

That's the thing though. Pretty much everyone would agree that Bama was a better team than TCU and the committee's job was to put the four best teams in, not the most deserving.

Lol. TCU set a number of really bad records last night. It wasn’t a bad day, they were completely overmatched all over the field and the team they got it from was down 2 scores to tOSU in the 4th quarter before a miraculous rally.

I also think Michigan was grossly overrated. Their schedule was a turd and they had several games that showed they weren’t great if you actually watched them. Iowa and Purdue to name a few. They got lucky with Ohio state and ran the table and deserved to be there, but if Ohio state plays them again in the Fiesta, they stomp them.

But most people objectively thought y’all were better than Tenn and LSU too. So maybe, thinking who is better doesn’t mean much?

People also thought mich was going to smoke TCU, well wrong again

Let’s not forget, again, the team thar “didn’t belong” won their semifinal game against the undefeated #2 team in the nation

EARNED, not Deserve. TCU won the game they were put into to earn the beat down they received last night.
