TCU played and looked like crap tonight; they were out-manned at every position, and then mailed it in late (Georgia could have scored 80 if they wanted). Based on today's result, they would have been a bottom-feeder in the SEC. TCU got destroyed on the lines, and as a result, got destroyed on the scoreboard. (OSU had a vertical passing game that gave Georgia issues; TCU does not have that).

That said, TCU went undefeated in a Power Five, and had a better resume than any team that did not make it to the playoffs. They should have fallen to fourth, and this should have been a semi-final, but they beat undefeated Michigan. They had better wins than Bama, and one fewer loss. Them and Tennessee might have been equal in terms of wins, but the difference being Tennessee losing by 25 to South Carolina. USC had two losses to Utah, one being a blowout. TCU earned a spot, regardless of what tonight showed.

So we’re ignoring their conference championship game?

They’d be boat raced by at least 4 other sec teams

You'll learn how to handle things after getting throttled by an SEC team in a title game. It takes a little practice. This ain't it

If you put someone besides Tcu in then you may as well quit playing the regular season games or just use them for eye test

Tux earned it. But truthfully, this just shows that college football is SEC and OSU, then everyone else.

I hope TCU is the last out of conference team the SEC has to play for a championship.

TCU lost to Kansas State and got lucky to get the 3 seed and not the 4, where they should have been slated. Criminal misstep by the committee to put them at 3 and rob America of an evenly matched final. Ohio state would have stomped this team too. You can’t roll out with a dog turd defense like they have and beat these powerhouses loaded with NFL talent on offense.

TCU didn’t earn dick. They were extremely fortunate to play in, by far, the worst P5 conference and barely eek out multiple wins in that terrible conference. Going undefeated means nothing. I can grab 10 of my friends and go undefeated in the local middle school league and I don’t deserve a spot in the playoffs.

Their wins against other teams who didn’t deserve to be there doesn’t change the fact that they were a mediocre team. If they were putting the best teams in the playoff, it would’ve been possibly 3 or 4 SEC teams. Other conferences just aren’t close. You would’ve lost to Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and LSU in a playoff game and that’s a fact

No they didn't. They are not a top 4 team. Much like in 2014 when the committee put Ohio State in over Baylor and TCU, they made a decision to put the best 4 teams in. They didn't do that this year, and this is what we get.

Didn’t Ohio St. get blown out by Michigan. The same Michigan team that TCU beat 9 days ago?

Committee got it right in 2014; TCU had no good wins (Oklahoma was trash, and their best OOC was a bad Minnesota team), and blew a 24 point lead at Baylor. Baylor lost by double-digits at West Virginia, and played no P5 teams OOC. Ohio State DESTROYED Wisconsin, and lost at home to Va Tech in the second game. OSU deserved to be in over TCU and Baylor.

No less than 3 SEC not named Georgia teams beat TCU

I found it interesting that Sonny Dykes just said, "We (TCU) won some games we probably shouldn't have along the way..."

Two of the three best teams in the country were in the SEC, arguably 3 out of the best 4. Media can't handle putting the best teams in, so y'alls sorry asses got put in and exposed. Happens all the time.

Alabama and Tennessee would’ve beaten TCU’s arse. I don’t care how you want to justify leaving them out by acting like TCU beat better teams (they didn’t), the CFP is supposed to be objective and TCU didn’t objectively deserve to be there. It’s time to start looking at the Big 12 as a G5 conference rather than a P5 conference and stop giving their top team an autobid
