The MWC dodged a bullet by not taking Cal and won the pacific coast regional war by taking OSU and WSU.

I wonder how many other University Presidents pushed this through over the advice of their AD

Research money from being in the AAU block dwarfs sports money so it’s the right move for the university long term if it gets them in.

We appreciate the efforts of Commissioner Phillips & our conference partners. There are many complicated factors that led us to vote no. That said, we welcome these truly outstanding institutions & look forward to working with them as our new partners in the Atlantic Coast

Cal alone will probably cause this conference to implode. Also, Cal and Stanford if I remember correctly didn’t want to play football in 2020 because of the Chinese Virus.

I think Brian Kelly was the one who said football teams should be independent and we should leave conference alone.

I still wonder if FSU and Clemson are gonna claim that adding teams voids the last GoR deal and try to bolt to SEC

Gotta think Sankey has contacts ready to be faxed over as soon as they leave.

What happens with like UC and Miami though? I would assume the B1G would go after them hard, no?

And if the ACC loses all its moneymakers, what does ND do?

Ironically, Clemson and FSU should be the ones who end up with the lion's share of the new money from those 3 additions.

The fax machine has more relevance now than the Pac-12.

UNC wants in the SEC. Clemson and FSU want in as well. Add those 3, and convince ND to join for all sports. Would be a hell of a conference. It already is.

Conference just voided their own grant of rights with this--FSU, Clemson and UNC are now outbound.

Florida, Georgia, S Carolina, N Carolina are on the ban list
