They actually changed to rule this year to make it more bearable. If you require treatment then you much come off for 1 minute. If you get up when the ref ask if you need treatment you can stay on.
If there was no contact and you do it you get a yellow card. Happened in the US/ Paraguay match.
No one likes it but they are doing what they can to get it out of the game. When these players that came from nothing are fulfilling their life long dream to play in the WC they will do what ever it takes to win. Doesn’t make it right but is somewhat understandable.

Yeah we told you it was gay.
And being ok with men acting like that is gay.

I don’t mind the flop to sell a penalty. I hate the disingenuous rolling around in pain and then standing up and sprinting 2 seconds later.
Like the cover your mouth role, let’s have one that if you show any sort of pain and act like you can’t get up, then immediate substitution.

So I was thinking, there is flopping in every sport. Except baseball.
Then I remembered this classic

The US game today Landon Donovan who ever was doing the color was disappointed that Dest didnt go down in the box, he said if he went down he would have got a PK
Stu Holden called color for the game, not Landon Donovan.

I’m no fan of flopping, but this is a 1.7 acre field being officiated by 3 people. The overacting is somewhat understandable.

I quit watching the only game I've watched because of it. Guys wasn't moving and the announcers were talking about how serious the injury was. As they got him to where they were about to disappear into a tunnel, the dude sat up waving and smiling. F soccer.

When I was watching late 90s NBA with my roommate at LSU, he would get so annoyed at the flopping and say he’d T them up for disrespecting the game.
Maybe start giving yellow cards or at least out for game if injury initially ‘looks’ serious.

the worst are when a guy takes out his hip, players acts like he was shot with a 30-06, and is grabbing his knee.
they come out, give him some of the miracle spray and he's fully fricking heeled. God himself must of conjured up the miracle spray. it heels broken legs, shootings, etc

Where are you sissies when the WC is not playing? Its a legitimate question. Soccer will never, ever be as popular in this country, as the NFL , CFB, MLB , and regrettably, the NBA.

But a chunky D lineman faking an injury to slow down a hurry up offense while the network takes a 3 commercial break is what?

The amount of times I've seen someone lay out on the ground for 5 seconds, then they jump right up running into the play is crazy.

To a degree it is but getting kicked in the shins does hurt. I see faking but I also see some real tangled feet taking players out.

a few chump arse SEC schools did this shite. It was fricking embarrassing watching their players lay on the ground, faking injuries

This is why I hate the Spurs so much. Tony Parker(France) & Manu Ginobli(Argentina) infiltrated the NBA with flopping culture because of where they came from & it's one of the many reasons(the never ending 3 pointers, inconsistent officiating) the NBA is no longer watchable.

You can admit their are some aspects of your sport that kinda suck. Everything will be okay
