Stacking their roster?

Lmfao

That ship sailed years ago

They are buying championships with their deferred contracts.

1.2 billion and counting.

It’s absurd but Dodger fans with their double digit IQs (just attend one of their home games) will tell you they earned it.

It’s just a mockery at this point.

They could have made this equivalent deal, but the Dodgers would have just increased the offer to make sure they got him. And they know they'll resign him, so it's all worth it. I am pissed the Brewers and/or Rays didn't make the Dodgers pay a steeper price though.

They couldn’t deplete their farm system for 2 months if Skubal. They’d be in a hole for years. Dodgers could care less about their farm season because they’ll keep signing the biggest free agents.

They don't want to admit it because the opposite is closer to truth. They have the best roster in baseball by a mile and don't even have the best record in the NL right now They should have a 5-7 game lead, minimum

Make sure you're still around when we're on the other side of the lockout and they're battling for 3rd in the West

The Brewers were an extreme longshot in this all along. They just won’t go out and get a two month rental. If they make a move for pitching it’ll be for someone who they’ll have a year or two of control over beyond this year. Unless it’s Freddy Peralta because he’d be cheap.

The Brewer farm system is an embarrassment of riches right now. If they can somehow get by LA this year, awesome….but the kids they have coming up will be hitting their peak in two to three years and that’s what they are probably anticipating. Miz (barring injury) is only going to get better so with the fielders that have in the pipeline they’ll be looking to surround that core with arms they control and not two month rentals.

Allegedly it was Luis Lara, Jeferson Quero and Kyle Harrison.

Much better than what the Dodgers gave. Conspiracies already being formed about the Tigers accepting a lesser package to send him to the Dodgers in order to force a lockout that would result in a cap

Every prospect is a suspect until they prove it in the majors.

And you even mention the caveat of “barring injury”.

At a certain point you have to push in your chips and go for it. Unless you are the dodgers and pay off the prospect ranking services to keep your chips overvalued AND defer any salaries.

ive also heard the dodgers are going full clippers and are giving the tigers some of their magic tv money that baseball allows only them to keep without having to share

the tell all documentary is going to be amazing once someone blows the whistle

goldennugget was first onto this story back when baseball didnt allow the inital form of the yu darvish trade that included walker buehler

WCA. It’s good to see that you are starting to understand the threat that the dodgers present. That’s the most sane thing I’ve ever seen you post.

We’ll see if baseball survives. 94 nearly killed it.

Steroids leading to a home run race saved it. Now we are at a point where all stars are only hitting .250 and only like 8 people and hitting above .300.

A lockout seems unavoidable now.

I genuinely don’t know if MLB is capable of surviving an extended lockout this time.

I'm amazed the Dodgers never run out of quality prospects to get whomever they want whenever they want. Whatever their scouts are paid, it's not enough.

Im sorry but part of it is built on bullshite. What other organization would have a 28 year old coming off Tommy john ranked number 68 overall prospect.

That is ridiculous.

River Ryan is almost 4 years older than Paul skenes and somehow ranked in the top 75.

ETA additionally though I will admit that due to them being able to buy off everyone in FA they don’t have to graduate any prospects themselves and they hold them down and preserve their inflated value and dump them off. While evil it is smart.

These Dodgers teams are making the Steinbrener Yankee teams of the 90s-2000s look poor!

They don't have to throw their TV money into revshare so of course they do.

They are the only team that doesn't have to share their local TV revenue. They aren't "well run" they just have an advantage no other team has.
