Matt Stafford just made only his third Pro Bowl in his 17th season.

Shedeur already has his first in only a half season of starting, with more losses than wins, and more interceptions than TDs.

No, it isn’t. This young man deserves the accolade. He battled to multiple wins without a supporting cast.

So did Trevor Lawrence literally reject the pro bowl nod or something? He was top 5 in MVP voting but a bum QB who completed 50% of his passes made it?

Just like when Tyler Huntley made the pro bowl for the ravens in 2023. The pro bowl is the biggest joke in all of sports.

Apparently Battle of the Network Stars has more stringent standards for participation than the Pro Bowl.

What probably happened is everyone else said no and he was the only live body who said yes. I doubt after a brutal NFL season quarterbacks are chomping at the bit to play and risk injury in an absolutely meaningless game. I doubt they’re trying to “ram him down our throats,” they just aren’t going to call off the game for lack of a quarterback.

All the other actually good QBs in the AFC must have turned it down to enjoy their offseason since it’s a meaningless game and it’s a late addition with Maye making the SB. I’d imagine Shedeur was quite literally the last AFC QB the NFL offered the nomination to.

Sneaky move by Haslam to make the head coaching job look more attractive.

Or make it some sort of rookie/sophomore showcase. Let the rookies that didn’t play a ton show what they can do ahead of the next season.

They should do more like the old skills competitions.

Not that many people want to watch a flag football game. You can brainstorm various comps for each position (and rotate them to keep things fresh) and then have both position rankings and AFC/NFC standings.

Something like the following would be more interesting than the no defense flag football game:
2002 Quarterback Challenge - linked because the NFL doesn't allow it to be embedded

Phillip Rivers making the Pro Bowl would have been awesome.

This is as bad as when Tyler Huntley made the PB after playing 4 games and throwing for 2 TDs Be prepared to hear pRo BOwL QB everytime Sanders is mentioned how

It should be like the Huntley situation, where no one seriously refers to Huntley as a pro bowl QB ever.
