Serious question, has he ever gone to bat like this for a non-black player?

Tebow definitely had outsized coverage compared to his ability, it was a different tone than the Sanders attention though, which comes across as resentful entitlement.

I think a lot of people see this stuff based on their social media algorithms. I don't watch any non live sporting events on ESPN, yet these types of clips show up on my feeds all the time because most of the content I follow is sports related.

I hate Ryan Clark. I hate that he went to lsu. Watching it I don’t really disagree with most of what he’s saying and “demands” is misleading. It’s a circus and if you don’t have plans for him it’s probably not worth having him on your team. I highly doubt anyone trades for him though.

This is something that’s becoming more pervasive especially with ESPN people where they’re ordering pro teams to do what they want them to do. It’s bizarre and completely out of bounds

Well, if he isn’t the starter then isn’t he by default a backup? I don’t recall many teams making an announcement about who precisely is 2nd string.

Yeah I can't stand RC but it actually sounds like he was saying if you ain't going to use him, then get the headache out of your locker room. I agree with that.

The part that's left out of this whole deal is that Stefanski likely never wanted him to begin with. They had already drafted Gabriel. Haslam and/or the GM brought in a player the head coach didn't want or need. I'm speculating, but it seems obvious.

The choice is warm shite or cold shite but at least the cold shite, Zappe, has regular season experience.

Imagine still letting RC trigger you in the big two five.

If he leaves the Browns no team is going to sign him. He'll be Tebow all over again. Except Tebow actually could win games.

Does Ryan Clark want him unemployed?

Very funny that this board's blind hatred of Clark is preventing all of you from understanding that this is the correct take.

Why employ a guy to run the practice squad who's going to do nothing but cause division in the locker room and invite a media circus?

Why reward the bum arse, controversial player by releasing him for potentially bad behavior?

Keep his arse on practice squad.

Yeah RC has rubbed me the wrong way the last 6 months or so but it's pretty clear he is saying, decide if he's more trouble thans he worth and if he is move on.

That's just sound football advice for a 5th round pick.

Look I get that everyone hates Sanders and Clark, but the cognitive dissonance that comes with every discussion surrounding them is exhausting.

The browns QB1 is hurt. They signed a 40 year old Flacco and drafted 2 high profile rookies. They traded the 40 year old. They named one of the high profile rookies the starter. Now the other high profile rookie is on the roster and people want to know he's QB2 or QB3. If he's QB3, it means he will never have a spot in the org and it's stupid for Cleveland to invite everything that comes with Sanders (as Clark said) into the locker room if he's never going to play.

I see you all are focusing on this point.

That is not the correct take. RC's actual point is that Shadeur SHOULD be starting but Stefanski "don't mess with him"
