The ONLY way that works would be to have Warren Buffet
own them and be willing to lose millions every year.
A town of 500,000 cannot support a MLB team.It takes immense revenue not only from attendence but you need corporate sponsers and TV and radio revenue.

ork, move them to San Juan. Every one of those cities has a nice ring to it with Rays.

Manfred, in a strongly worded letter sent today, said the framework of the deal lacks specific details necessary for him to "understand the merits and feasibility" of the proposal as well as "the actual level of commitment" from the public side.

Nashville would be great

Growing city with transient fans due to the city having alot of outsiders who moved in, meaning you likely already have alot of AL East fans already in the city willing to go watch the Yanks and Sox play

As big of a sports fan as I am, I oppose any spending of the public's money to provide stadiums to billionaire business owners. Let them fund it themselves.

Why does the public side have to be involved?

The private side reaps the VAST majority of the benefits.

With all of the Cubans / Latin Americans in Miami, MLB should be booming there.

Tampa, I don't know, but the Bucs have trouble selling tickets when they aren't good.

Jags struggle to sell seats at times.

Florida is such a transient/transplant population. No one is from here; especially in South Florida and Tampa areas.

What genius was proposing a new stadium for the Rays? They are averaging 14k people per game in 2018. They just need to move to a new city.

Move them to Portland, mates. Baseball meant to be played out of doors and along the riverfront.

The Trop is easily the worst stadium in the history of major league sports in North America (comparitavely speaking). There hasn't been a stadium in the same galaxy of bad since the Metrodome was imploded 5 years ago.

"Deal" as in footing taxpayers with the bill while the MLB privatized the profits?

I’d love to see Portland get a team.
