I would think his own manager criticizing him for hitting a grand slam would not go over well in the clubhouse. If you really feel that way, criticize him privately but support him publicly.

i didnt see much criticism in that tweet. All he said was he missed a sign. That's pretty tame. Unless he said something further that wasnt documented in the tweet.

Between Pat Forde and Jayce Tingler, right now is not a good time for Mizzou Alums and their feelings.

Yeah, good point. That tweet doesn’t show it but Tingler also called it a ‘learning moment’ in the post game presser.

I don’t have an issue with him hitting a grand slam with a big lead. I don’t really like it in the situation, but I’m not gonna be angry over him swinging 3-0. My issue is that he swung through a take sign. The sign was given by the bench/manager who believed it was time to call off the dogs. If the other team comes back from a big deficit and wins, that’s on the manager, not Tatis. It’s done in the name of sportsmanship, which used to be a thing.

Yeah, the only issue was that he swung through a take sign on 3-0 after the pitcher had walked two guys in the inning.

The Rangers though... really no excuse for a pro to be whining about getting whipped.

If there worried about unwritten rules than put in some rules to prevent the analytics driven positioning of players.
To me, that's ruined the game.

Sportsmanship doesn't exist when players are compensated for performance.

Tatis is eventually going to go to arbitration for his salary, and the impact of that grand slam will get him a lot closer to his market value than any other outcome that could have come from that plate appearance.

How about if a team’s feelings are getting hurt because they can’t stop the other team from scoring, they just forfeit and stop wasting everyone’s time.
