Only 80.

I was a sophomore when I saw Cannon play in high school and and was in the fifth grade when I saw Bob Pettit play in high school.

Nilo was fun to watch. Fastest kid I had ever seen in person back then. Nitro Nilo

He only played one year (7 games) in the league as the Bucs KR.

He had a rape charge dropped while at UT in 95 and never played again after that before going pro.

Warrick Dunn…I think I’m the first to post his name.

How is that possible

I went to Lafayette High so we never really had any great players, only ones that stood out during my time was Trev Faulk and Caleb Rubin.

Acadiana High had a few... Alley Broussard one of the best high school players ever from this area.

Early Doucet (St. Martinville) was one of the best high school athletes I've ever seen.

Marzula was a hell of a DB though...

He was a great athlete period. I swear he hit a ball right over my head at 3rd that I almost caught that still went out. It was at OCS (Legion tourney), but still.

Now go back a few years before years earlier and OPHS had some legends in Glen Ellis and Connie Ray Wilson...

A little before my time, but I remember Glen was the QB on a couple of good Ouachita teams I saw play. Shame what Richwood did to that program. (Through no fault of their own. Obviously).

Well good. Good dudes. Haven’t seen any of them in years, but drank many a Natty Lite with them around a table playing Presidents and Assholes several nights. Some world class shite-talking at those tables. You better have brought your “A” game or it was gonna be a bad time for you.

Oliver Lawrence at Neville is like a legend on 600 Forsythe Avenue. He was before me but Coach Brown and staff held him up on a pedestal. I work with some guys from Ruston that played with him and they still have nightmares about him 40 years later. I think he went on to have a pretty strong career at LSU like his nephew Rashard did.

My area Jesse Myles (HLB) Played at LSU. Would have been a great. He blew out his knee as I think a freshman. May have been the USC game. Memory is a little hazey. Still ended up playing for the Broncos in early 80's.
