Panthers are about as bad as Browns. They had Baker and cut him. But on the flip side, Baker was stuck with Browns after they brought in the sexual predator. His only way out was a trade.

So Baker agreed to Panthers to get out of Cleveland and that was a great choice even though Panthers sucked it was better than Browns

Then Panthers cut him to start their rookie QB which allowed Baker to get that one game showcase deal with LA. He had no practice and just a walk thru and took them 98 yards for the win in Thu night football.

That in turn got Tampa Bay looking and they signed him on a cheap 1 year contract. Then they extended him but Baker gave them a discount to allow more money for overall roster.

Here’s a pic of Panthers using Baker as DL scout team lol.

Canales said Bryce would remain the starter after yesterday's game. Last week, he says he talks to Tepper after games. Either Canales wanted to bench Bryce but didn't think he would get the go-ahead from Tepper to do so but Tepper ended up giving in or Tepper told him to bench Bryce. Either way, not good.

Is Dalton that bad? I think he's one of the better backups in the league and can at least be serviceable.

His numbers are worse than Jamarcus's.

The Raiders didn’t blow their load trading up for JaMarcus, either.

Not that JaMarcus was good but the best QB in that class was probably Kevin Kolb, so there wasn’t a lot of talent there in hindsight.

Young was taken over CJ Stroud, who has been good to this point and reinforces that it was a bad choice rather than taking a need from a lot of bad options.

Firm believer in that the success/failure of a young QB is more about the franchise and the position they are put into than the player himself.

Agreed 100%. Tua is not that much bigger than Young. And he had some struggles early in his career until McDaniels took over. Since then, when he hasn't been knocked out cold, he's been solid. That's not to say Young will ever be as good as Tua, but if he's San Francisco's starting QB instead of Carolina's he's probably performing much better.

What the Panther's have is a reactionary hot head owner who is good at succeeding the competitive business world and thinks he can do the same in football. Thus, he's making decisions his coaches don't want him to make.

From all accounts Young is a good guy. He may never be a great NFL QB, but he has virtually no shot of that in Carolina.

anybody who has watched Bryce Young knows he is just simply not an NFL quarterback.

Anyone who watched him play LSU his last two years of college could see that. LSU had some terrible defenses and made him look really average for the most part just by applying a little bit of pressure. He freaked out and made a lot of mistakes.

He's capable of making some splash plays, but can't handle the consistent pressure that an NFL QB is going to face.

Tua came into the combine at 217 lbs, which is probably about 30 lbs more than Young plays at.

I think it’s the third time he’s replaced a Heisman winner. Newton, ,Winston,Young. And he also replaced Fields in Chicago

If I'm a team and I can get Young on a cheap backup deal and have a good QB coach/OC, I'd definitely pick him up. He's better than this, not great, but better than this. He needs a mental reset and a new offensive system. A couple years off the radar might do him wonders.

Didn't he kinda/sorta replace Carson Palmer (another Heisman winner) in Cincy?

The size gap between the two is actually pretty substantial when you look at them next to offensive linemen.

Tua is like 3” taller and prob 30lbs heavier. Don’t confused Bryce hair as his height

Say what you want but Bryce is just not that good of a QB no matter who he has around him.

Like I said in another thread, we are finding out what the physical minimum requirements for NFL QB are, with Young.

Yep. You can be skinny like JD5, you can even be kind of fat, but you sure in the frick can't be short.

Those stats look very similar to Caleb Williams first 2 games of the season. I know that Bryce Young has an extra year of NFL experience, but Caleb had an extra full year of starting in college and they are like 3-4 months apart in age. Also, Caleb Williams has a noticeably better supporting cast.

I'm clearly a C.Williams hater, but I think my argument is somewhat valid.
