I hope it folds. It would make college basketball better.

This season has been a shitshow with injuries. There have been pretty much no big matchups because we almost never get 2 good teams playing at full strength.

This is completely uncalled for. You know those rating systems are flawed. They don't take in account houses that have... uh... more than two television sets... and other things of that nature.

Part China. Part woke.

The biggest part for me is that the mostly meaningless NBA regular season is an absolute chore to watch.

I think another issue as well to add onto everything else is the shitshow that is Sinclair Broadcasting. They started removing a lot of their providers, so a lot of people don't get the local Fox Sports stations.

I have Frontier here in Texas and don't get it, which has pissed a lot of people off because you lose all the local teams. I have a sign-in from a buddy so I can watch it online, but I don't think a lot of people go to those lengths.

I know that's not the same as the big stations, but I think if you can't tune in to each game on the local stations that can lower interest as well at a national level

They tripped over themselves with politics. Combine that with superteams, and what reason is there for a Wolves fan to tune into this year? Or a Kings fan? Or a Pistons fan?

Sure, you may have some talented young guns, but when your games are cancelled because of riots and whatnot, watching a ROY candidate no longer matters. It makes you upset at the entire system.

There has never been a league whose hype and coverage are far greater than the league’s popularity than the Association. If you watched ESPN, you’d think the NBA is on par with football.

Haven't watched a single game in 2 years. The NBA quit me, not the other way around.

Is this just cable?

Do digital numbers come into play when it comes to ratings?

Can't wait for Dr. Pop to tell us this is because racist white people just wanted the players to shut up and dribble and couldn't handle black men speaking up for themselves

It's happened with Youtube TV too and what's worse is when my "local" teams, Memphis, NO and Atl, play on NBA TV they get blacked out. I know they have existing contracts but it's totally counterproductive for building regional interest.

Also, how does the decrease compare to other professional sports in the past year?

I consider myself a big fan, but I haven't watched much this year. It has nothing to do with politics, I just don't find myself caring about it right now. I really don't know why. It's the opposite with baseball, I've been watching a ton of that so far.
