Well to be fair, Walker drew a walk and hit a ball 110 with a .910 xBA
Damn Melton put the ball in play bubba
Sick Christian, keep hitting piss missiles
Shane Smith was pretty good tonight. He’s a nice arm. Some loud contact but never gave up the backbreaking homer.

The position players at least look like they want to be competitive this year. Heard the director of pitcher development talk about Taylor last week. He was gushing with some pretty insane comps. Based on the guys in the 8th and 9th seems like he will slide into those very high leverage roles in the very near future.
Very gay game! In desperate need of slug
frick off Luis Robert. Gosh damnit man
Damn Grant throws really really hard.
Some lasers this second time through

Nothing to show. This group is addicted to GIDP
Damn Yainer got one in the nitro zone. Couldn’t get to it
Got what he deserved. Just fricking throws strikes you dick head
I don't really see them moving off of him either, but he has a team option next year for 11.5 mil and this seems to be about the time they'd get creative with helping their big league club while also sending out a big leaguer that they may not want to pay next year?

IDK what the Astros would have that could help them immediately
Back home after a decent road trip, nice opportunity for Lance to build on big strikeout number his last time out.

As we know the Astros tend to play to the level of their opposition, so despite having played the most games against >.500 (50) and the most wins against those teams (27) there is little optimism of taking care of business against the White Sox, who are starting to play a little bit better baseball and have some exciting pieces up with Meidroth, Teel, and they just called up former LSU Tiger Grant Taylor to throw out of their bullpen.

This is the start of a 13 game in 13 day stretch where they play 10 games against teams below .500 so an opportunity in the schedule to create separation in the division just by taking care of your business. I believe Espada said they'd like to go to a 6 man rotation during this stretch and with no long man in the bullpen gonna need a couple outings from dudes other than Framber and Hunter to go deep in games and keep the bullpen fresh.

Ryan O' Hearn (OPS+ 158) and Ced Mullins (OPS+121) from Baltimore are interesting, both on expiring deals. O'Hearn hasn't played a lot of outfield recently so idk the fit.

Adam Frazier as well, hitting .272 against RHP this season. Not much juice though but a LHH who doesn't swing and miss or strikeout.

Mike Tauchman is at worst a league average competent left hand platoon bat for the White Sox that doesn't swing at balls outside of the zone and draws a lot of walks. Pretty average to below fielder.

Not sure anyone on that list outside of O'Hearn is a true difference maker, but the other guys probably help some with just having platoon flexibility and not costing a whole heckuva bunch. Would have been nice to not lose both Ronel and Wesneski so there could have been some flexibility to move a starter with control for more of an impact bat.
fricking A man, enough with the being cute to avoid weather and Psy-Ops to the other team Jay.

And also NCAA needs to look into the spineless reps they send down here. It’s the only host site where this happens
