Then tell them that money and their scholarships are now considered income and introduce them to their new best friends at the IRS. Between federal and state taxes (especially CA), they'd get raped.

Y’all act like unions are unique to sports. Each of the pro leagues have player associations to look out for the interest of the players.

This isn’t just gonna be a west coast thing. Big Ten, and SEC athletes will join too. This has been coming for a long time in college athletics and the athletes are finally realizing the leverage they have.
