I bet I still have an unsharpened, 35 year old Houston Oilers pencil in the attic. I remember never being able to bring myself to actually use it.

All my 70s era NFL pencils are unsharpened and in a cup marked “do not use. Do not touch” on my bookshelf. I will seriously knife any bastard dumb enough to touch my treasure hoard.

I was in elementary school around the time the Houston Oilers became the Tennessee Titans. If you managed to find a pack of the pencils with a Titans pencil then you had the holy grail. I remember making my grandma drive all over town to find one.
