If BYU sat home and finished 11-1, they still miss the playoffs. Wrap that around your brain please and stop talking about this.

Because the Big 12 might be worse than the AAC this year. And none of their top teams played a big OOC game.
Tech may be really good but they may also be a mediocre SEC team. Hard to overstate how bad the big 12 was. Honestly kind of a joke that tech gets a bye over ole miss or AM or Oregon

Probably because Bama beat Georgia earlier in the season and is 1-1 while BYU was 0-2 vs. Tech.

You're missing the point.
The issue is if if BYU getting blown out means they should drop than Bama getting blown out should ALSO mean they get dropped down.
How far Bama should have fallen from 9 is irrelevant.
Either they need to drop a spot or two like BYU or BYU should have stayed between ND and Miami at 11.

Thing that drives me nuts the most is Bama got rolled by FSU. No one talks about that. FSU is garbage anyway you slice it, in the power conference that is given no respect. How is this not a penalty for Bama????
