Hard to quantify range. Milam has been absolutely excellent in terms of playing clean. I don't love a small SS. The MLB doesn't either as they generally profile a taller, longer guy to SS. There are balls and line drives that Milam won't get to due to height, but he has exceeded all expectations this year at SS.
He's 25 and already nearing retirement. But probably the most likely QB who can step in and play.
Bonds is a top 5 player of all time, roids or not. Most of the top players of his time say he was the best in the game by a margin.
Agree. Braswell is more at risk of losing his spot to Reaves.
Bingo. Until he wins a major bowl, he will continue to get this treatment.
Judge him after year 4

Until we go 9-4, and he needs another year to develop the new guys plus more money from fans

Wow. If true, Jones found his “yes” man.

ND is loaded at OL. Starters don’t transfer. They clearly are looking to land where they will get more guaranteed playing time.

Not sure if LSU should take them since they were not starters for ND until ND had injuries. I would look at Coogan as he is a C with good experience. Need more depth there in addition to Mitchell. But he was 2nd string at ND so he is probably looking for a guaranteed starting position.

Yes. Did it a only a couple times tops, and that was all it took for them to get in line. Then a simple look did the trick.

re: Just like that…Kelly is vindicated

The Kelly defenders will do just about anything to justify his worth. Some say that Freeman is winning because he has Kelly’s recruits. Others are saying Freeman is winning because Notre Dame has changed their standards in just 2 years. How about this - Freeman just did more with ND in major bowls than Kelly has done in his lifetime. Call a spade a spade.

Kelly always has excuses. He did it at ND. He made them turf the field. They did. He made them add a Jumbotron. They did. He made them add cool piped-in music. They did. He made them start wearing new and cool uniforms for the recruits. They did. And he still couldn’t win a big game there. Not only could he not win one, he got absolutely annihilated in every big game they played. Almost every LSU fan on this board, bashed him then, and rightly so.

Now he’s pulling the same lame crap here. His players don’t execute. He needs different LSU uniform combos for recruits. He needs fans to chip in for NIL. Always excuses. Never delivers.

We can’t play around and keep moving the goalposts for this clown.

Another hire by the Jets that will fail. Why would they go with a defensive minded coach again?
2020 Alabama
2024 Ohio State
2021 UGA
2022 UGA
2023 Michigan
The spread was 9.5 and ND lost by 11. :dunno:

Ohio State beat Tennessee and Oregon by a hundred. And Texas by 14.

Once OSU flipped the switch in the postseason, it was over. Having Chip Kelly as your OC doesn't hurt either.
Not for me. I know some KC fans who are great people and passionate about their team. Their stadium and atmosphere is awesome. So for that reason alone, Chiefs > Pats.

So you would rather an unproven coach that hasn’t beaten anyone of note to BK and his proven track record?

You are dumb.

Kelly has a track record of beating bad to mediocre competition. He does not have a proven record of winning big games against elite teams. That is a major concern. And he has had a very long time to get that done - at Cincy, at ND, and now at LSU. And not one major bowl win. His record against top 10 teams is abysmal. Most LSU fans laughed at him for that very reason while he was at ND.

Freeman won 2 major bowl games in 2 weeks. He's 39 years old. Kelly doesn't have 1 in over 30 years of being a HC.

If that doesn't concern you, I am not sure what would.

Having said that, we have had 2 coaches win titles in the last 20 years. And neither was a rocket scientist. But the one thing they did was develop hard-nosed physical, punch-you-in-the-mouth type teams. OSU and ND were very much like that. Kelly's teams are known to be soft. Unless he gets that straight, we won't sniff a title - especially when you have to win 3-4 games in a row against top 10 teams.

Plenty of talent, but they may not peak until late in the year which is fine. I worry about the lack of returning offensive production. Jones and Milam should be strong. But we will need some of the new guys and transfers (Hernandez, Dickinson, Curriel, Priester, etc) to adjust quickly to the SEC level of pitching.
