re: Who is the 2nd best white running back in NFL history?

Are you guys really this dense and obtuse? Brian Kelly made out ND’s schedules as far as 2026-27. Does it surprise you that beta Kelly avoided tough competition?
Freeman, needless to say, appears to have a different outlook. Auburn, Texas and Arkansas in 2028. Plus Clemson and Miami. Looks like they also have Alabama in 2029

What directional schools do they play? I don’t see any on their future schedules.

Hahahaha. The conference with:
Rutgers
UCLA
Northwestern
Michigan St
Maryland
Purdue
These mega conferences are extremely watered down. Let’s be real.

re: Is anyone having a worse playoff than ND fans?

Good question but simple. Have Vegas rank the top 12. All of that is factored when they grade teams and set lines. And obviously there’s no one more accurate on these things generally than the major sportsbooks. No bias from committee members, and Vegas gives no credence or worth to the name of the school. For the record, Vegas had ND as the 3rd or 4th best team as of the end of the year. I know people who hate ND won’t want to hear it.
Or go back to the BCS computer system which factors schedule strength.
Either way, find the best 12 and let them duke it out.

Disagree. ND needs to go 11-1 or better based on what happened this year. That’s a higher standard than anyone.
Bama got in with 3 losses and an arse whipping in the conference championship.
Miami had 2 losses and did not even make the conference championship game. In a bad conference no less.
And then of course Tulane and James Madison made it. But hey, they won something significant! And that makes them worthy!

I’m only interested in the best teams competing for a title. If Ohio State decided to go independent next year, are they excluded? Or if Alabama went independent because they are tired of subsidizing bottom feeders like Missouri or Miss State? Nope. Sorry. You guys are out because you’re not part of the almighty (watered down) conferences.

ND should not be forced to join a conference. They can run their school as they see fit. Isn’t this America? The mega conferences suck anyway and just serve the bottom feeders so they can mooch off the top programs.
If you put the best 12 in, then it certainly could happen.
Last year’s game was 7 vs 8 with ND and OSU.

The heads of the socialist conferences/cartels.
Pretty sure OU is having a worse day after blowing a 17 pt lead to a subpar Bama team that was handed a playoff spot.

Participation trophies!

He is so bad.
Reminder. Oklahoma beat Bama one month ago. Did that matter yesterday? I’m not sure if you’re familiar with sports, but teams evolve - some improve during the year and play their best at the end, while others remain stagnant or get worse. The season is not a constant.

12 teams ranked by a computer or by Vegas. No (political) comittees behind closed doors.
Of course. Anyone with half a brain knew this. Bama was awful for 6 weeks. Anybody who was arguing for Alabama over ND is an idiot.
Bama has looked like arse for 2 months. No business making it. Not sure why anyone would expect them to play well
Too long to be repeatable. Suspect accuracy would be an issue, along with release quickness.

Well sure, if you want the best 12 teams.
But the amateur conference playoff structure has set it up so that it's participation award style. We need to have a representative from each walk of life. Until they adopt a professional structure, there will always be these disputes.

Has it been said why decided to come forward now and not sooner? Was she waiting on the OSU game to be played?
