There will be heavy competition for 3B and 2B among Caraway, Simpson, Dardar, Reaves, and Pearson.
Arrambide is a lock at C based on the fall.
Yorke at 1B.
Milam at SS.

re: LSU and Brian Kelly are at odds over his contract buyout

I read the “for cause” reasons. Doubt any of those have been triggered.
Also LSU did not follow the notice and cure requirements (7 days to cure) in order to trigger a “for cause” termination.
Kelly has LSU by the balls under the contract.

Kelly has LSU by the balls under the contract.
Why would Kelly leave money on the table if the liquidated damages are $54mm? He doesn’t need to play nice. LSU signed the contract and has to live with the consequences.
They have a very experienced and older team. Not excusing the strikeouts though.
Accountable, tough minded, does not make excuses, does not point fingers, does not whine. Yeah, pretty much the opposite of Brian Kelly.
So glad Kelly is gone. What a waste of 4 years.

He begged the athletic director to soften their schedule. Then he feasted on cupcakes and lost to really good teams.
It’s noteworthy that Notre Dame’s future schedules look much tougher. Freeman isn’t a pansy like Kelly.

Too much of a gamble. Would prefer Sheppard if we are going to roll the dice a little.

Did you watch the whole game? It was a 1 score game with under 2 minutes to play. ND jumped out early. OSU went up big during the middle of the game. ND came back in the 3rd and 4th to get it to 1 score in the 4th quarter. OSU kicked a FG with 20 seconds left to make it 34-23.

System QB? Did you watch Denver's offense last night?

They were one game away last year. Lost in the conference tournament finals.

Denbrock is highly overrated on this board. He was fine. He also had NFL playmakers on the offense. He is not some wunderkind OC.

Of all the responses to coaching rumors, it is safe to say I've never heard that version.
I don't believe you.
But for the record, Freeman would be a great hire. He is a leader and an alpha male. His teams play with intensity and toughness. Light years better than BK's teams at ND. But we all learned that the hard way.

Their future schedules look tough. But the schedules over the last 10 years were generally weak.
But I would bet my house the Brian Kelly made the weak schedules for himself. And Freeman has more balls to schedule tougher teams.

I agree. But who won the 1993 National Championship, and who finished 2nd despite beating the #1 team head to head?

No thanks. Needs to prove it a mid level power 5 school.

For optics, we can’t go back to the ND well.
Not really. Lot of Catholics in south LA.
