The case for Harrison - Made the dumbest most lopsided trade in NBA history. No single thing Loomis did was quite as bad. He continues to double down on retarded too. Traded a generational top 3 talent for a broken down mumble mouthed beta ruffles eating bitch who immediately gets hurt like he always does. Also traded Grimes for nothing.

The case for Loomis - While no single act was quite as bad as the Doncic trade, let's review some of his most recent hits...

- Helped push Payton out the door
- Tried to trade for Deshaun Watson
- Picked Dennis Allen as HC
- Retained Dennis Allen as HC
- Compared Allen to all-time greats
- Brings Allen back for a third season
- Had to be forced to fire Allen by nitwit owner
- Continues to aggressively get fleeced in trades
- Cannot manage the cap and has the saints in such bad financial shape that recovery is nowhere in sight

And if that wasn't enough, he know is ruining the Pels by getting his buddy, the equally washed up Joe Dumars, the Pels job.

In conclusion, Mickey wins because he not only ruined the Saints, he ruined the Pels too. Very rare that a single GM destroys two pro sports teams simultaneously.

Loomis has been terrible for several years, but a lot of GM’s have been bad at their jobs.

General incompetence will never trump what Nico did. Truly an unbelievable situation.

Loomis in 2025 is horrifically bad and should have been fired with Allen but if you consider his entire career there is much worse piled on the heap of failed GMs. Now you can debate if his success was actually due to Payton/Brees but on paper there are many worse GMs.

He's got enough in the cons column that you don't have to make things up

I think Mickey is pretty bad at his job, but Nico made one of the worst, most incomprehensible moves in SPORTS history.

Its nico

Before he was GM, Saints all-time winning percentage was .399057 with no playoff wins. As GM it is .55914 with a SB appearance and 2 other NFCCG appearances

No idea about the Pelicans because I never followed the NBA and have no idea what his role there really is since he's not listed as one of their executives.

Loomis and Dennis Lauscha are essentially the owners of both teams, so his role is effectively co-owner even if not official

One has been the GM of the most successful period in franchise history… I’m gonna go with Nico being the worst. This is not even a close discussion.

Loomis would have given up his first born to have Payton stay instead of forcing his way out of New Orleans.

Pretty ridiculous being a professional sports executive can be a part time job since Mickey while was Saints GM he was also Pelicans head of basketball operations and opening bars/resturants

Nico
You don’t trade doncic without vetting other offers that might have been better
NBA should have voided that deal especially with Nico ties to lakers

You seem like an illogical, overly emotional saints fan

Has Loomis been lighting it up lately?

No, definitely not

Should he be considered ‘the worst GM of all time’?

No

Stop being so dramatic

The equivalent of what Nico did with Luka would be Loomis trading away Brees after the 2007 season. Harrison is in a league of his own regarding bad GMs.

These guys really think a GM traded a superstar player by bamboozling the ownership into not valuing him.

People here are so damn stupid smh.

Pretty obvious those owners did not want to pay Luka, but wanted another star quickly and didn't want things to get public because they knew the outcry would force them to keep Doncic.

They instructed their GM to get AD and he did what he could because HE was asking Pelinka not the other way around.

How this is easily missed is beyond me. That GM did nothing more than execute what his owners asked of him and gets shite on for doing a good job for their specific desires.
