Yeah it is pretty even actually. I don’t remember exactly what it is but it’s competitive.

Bamas has had two of the best coaches ever and hey that’s great, congrats on that. But in terms of comparing infrastructure of the two programs, whether it’s money, recruiting base, facilities, and fan base the two are very similar.

For an even comparison, you need to also remove LSU's two best coaches

The point is that the only thing that’s seperated the two is Bama has had better coaches, which is at least partially luck. Not 100% luck, and if there is a difference it’s that Alabama tells Mal Moore don’t come back without him while we have the fiasco that was the transition from Les to O. And I’m not discounting that. But there is a pretty big right place right time element to it. I mean Bear could have just as easily gone to Arkansas and then what kind of a world do we live in? Alabama does not have a divine right to be good at football and if you just look at the infrastructure around both programs they are very similar.

Relieved.

If Saban coached ANYWHERE but Alabama, I would love his success.

Once he’s gone, LSU will have a clearer path to the top of the SEC West every year.

It’s more than that. He really is in great shape for his age. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him pull a Bill Snyder at this rate.

great sympathy for his wife. If ever a man wasn't ready to step back and relax, it's NS.

I will be disappointed if he retires. I want to see the cheating bastard caught for all his illicit recruiting. Then I want to see the propaganda machine that built the myth turn on itself and implode.

Hey if that's who Bama decides to go with to replace Saban, I'm sure we'll all enjoy it

I hate Bama. I love sports. It is impressive to see a dynasty. It’ll be bittersweet when he retires.

Coach Bryant played at Alabama. He is the one who coined the phrase when Mama calls, you come home. Kinda what Bama will do when Saban retires and we call Dabo to come home.

Yes but he wasn't from Alabama he was from Arkansas, which was the point I was making. He could have just as easily played there and if he had the cfb landscape would have been dramatically altered.
