Look how long Woody Hayes stuck around at Ohio St., Bear Bryant at Alabama, Lou Holtz at Arkansas, Joe Paterno at Penn St.

He'll be there until his mid 70's is my guess, unless he just gets tired of it or dies. He's got that job as long as he wants it with the results he's had.

Bryant retired because he was dying. And he was dying because he drank like a fish, smoked unfiltered cigarettes, and ate junk his entire life. Saban is not like Bryant

And all that don't mean shite. I had a friend who ate like a monk, ran 5 miles a day, didn't drink, didn't smoke or do drugs, wasn't much of a partier and he dropped dead at 55. When your time is up, it's up, Plain and simple.

Well sure there are exceptions to anything but there are ways to live well that have demonstrated the ability to extend life expectancy.

Nick was never happier than he was at the pinnacle of his career.

Lets say he coaches 5 more years and calls it. How will you feel that day? Honored to have lived in his era? Happy he is going?

That would be a sad day for me... What he has done is unsurpassed.... And might not ever be topped...

Lets look at it like this. Bobby Bowden finished in the top 5 from 1987-2001... Think about that for a second...........

He’ll do like Bryant. Die within a few months of retirement

I highly doubt this...........

Not in Bama's case. That didn't work out so well for Bill Curry in the grand scheme. Now, the coach, that replaced the coach, that replaced the coach that was a legend worked out ok. That would be Gene Stallings.

Understand what? That not everyone wants to leave a good job?

I know a lot of people think because he went to Alabama that means he’s a lock whenever Alabama picks up the phone. Unfortunately, there’s a lot more to it than that. I’ll just go ahead and say it. Dabo will never be the HC at Alabama.

Yeah you beat us when you have one of either Bryant or Saban. It’s even otherwise.

For an even comparison, you need to also remove LSU's two best coaches
