has been adjudicated. The TRO he received should allow him to play.
He voluntarily dismissed it with prejudice, meaning it is over and he cannot bring it up again in court.

Looks that way From ESPN-

quote:
Matt Miller, NFL draft analyst: In conversations with scouts before the NFL's mid-January deadline for underclassmen to declare for the 2026 draft, many believed Sorsby would have been a high Round 1 pick. He would not have been drafted ahead of eventual No. 1 pick Fernando Mendoza, but in what was seen as a weak class at the position, he would have been ranked ahead of Ty Simpson -- the QB2 and eventual No. 13 pick -- on most boards.

quote:
Jeremy Fowler, national NFL reporter: Sorsby would enter the draft with sizable value to teams. Several execs I spoke with over the past few weeks agree that he's worth a second-round pick in the supplemental draft. One AFC executive predicted Sorsby would have been a late-first-rounder if he were available in April's traditional draft

That was bullshite. ESPN was gassing him up so they would have NFL draft story during lean summer months.

Sorsby will sue

Claim will be the Terrelle Pryor was allowed into draft after violating NCAA rules, thus setting precedent.

Sorsby will win and the NFL will have to run a Supplemental Draft.

Note that the explanation for his denial doesn't say it is because he violated NCAA rules. Many, if not most, players who have entered the supplemental draft violated NCAA rules of some type. Cris Carter signed with an agent. Terrelle Pryor sold memorabilia. That is one of the main reasons why it exists--for players deemed ineligible for college ball after the regular draft deadline because they violated NCAA rules.

None of those other players gambled on their own team. Also, none of them had a court order saying they were still eligible, which they voluntarily dismissed themselves. We're also under a different CBA than those other players were, though the supplemental draft language may be similar.

Your Petition—filed three business days before the deadline, without any supporting information or documentation, and only after abandoning your recent litigation efforts to avoid NCAA sanctions
“Your petition is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no supplemental draft, and may God have mercy on your soul.”

Well, the question of how the NFL will handle a player like Sorsby that has gambled on his team has been answered.

The commish yes, teams didn’t seem to have as big a problem with it.

Are you really this stupid? You really believe he is acting on his own? He is mouthpiece for the owners anything coming from is from the owners.
