Claim will be the Terrelle Pryor was allowed into draft after violating NCAA rules, thus setting precedent.

None of those other players gambled on their own team. Also, none of them had a court order saying they were still eligible, which they voluntarily dismissed themselves. We're also under a different CBA than those other players were, though the supplemental draft language may be similar.

Not really relevant to this thread but this analyst just announced on Twitter that he (Matt Miller) got in a crazy car accident and they had to amputate his arm to save his life

That won’t happen but I would fricking love him and his agent to get involved in yet another lawsuit.
From Sorsby, his agent, lawyer, the school, the local/state politicians, and the boosters, this entire thing has been a crash course on what not to do if you get caught gambling. I don’t know how to handle it more poorly than they have managed to do.

It was cheating in an attempt to win. That sort of thing is "breaking the rules" and frowned on, but doesn't compromise the integrity of the game as such.
Gambling on your own games= an attempt to gain monetary profit and reward, in an event you have some control or inside knowledge of. It isn't attempting to "win". You may be motivated to throw a game, or shave points, to win your bet.
He has apparently bet the under on his own team in at least one game. I know he was on the bench, but had he entered that game he would have been in position to win his bet by playing to lose.
You can't reconcile that to the general public, you just can't.
If he threw an interception that prevented his team from covering, the allegations are there that he did so intentionally. That could destroy the popularity of the game.
