All sorts of irony watching Belichek's face turn Sammy Hagar red over that call.

And replay can't review grounding.

In what world can your hand being down by your side be a pass?

Stanford was staring directly at the ground. Hard to argue he was trying to pass it to someone with his head looking directly at the field

Vikings look good now though. Should be a fun game.

Yeah, that was an incomplete pass that should be a fumble.

In defense of Stafford, he would have just taken the sack if he wasn’t trying to throw it.
But it should have been intentional grounding.

I’m having a real hard time with that ruling. The ball went forward, but that’s not a throwing motion. He literally dumped the ball into the ground while being sacked.

I think he intended to toss it underhand. I'm not sure the replay clearly showed that he had possession still. I think the bigger argument is, did he drop it while trying to toss it, and does that mean it is a pass attempt?

So I guess every QB can just throw it into the ground while getting sacked and it'll be an incompletion.
No more sacks! What a loophole!

There needs to be an intention to actually get the guy the ball. Stafford panicked and threw it into the ground.

I’m going to laugh when you see RBs start to do this when their about to be tackled for a loss.
