It is a bold strategy, that’s kind of the point. 75% of people are going to burn Jax in week 1.
Miami may be the worst team in the league, but the raiders are probably second. If I can buy a win with an awful team in week one, I set myself up for the long game.
Or I don’t have to think about it again, which is honestly not a bad consolation
