Ahead of next deadline on NBA CBA, NBPA’s Michele Roberts tells @TheAthleticNBA: “The union and the players...will not be rushed. Given all that has to be resolved between now and a Dec. 22 date…it defies common sense that it can all be done in time.”

Looks like no December start...

Well if they had much common sense then it could be defied. I'm not seeing it.

December doesn’t make much sense for players that played in the Finals. That’s very little offseason. Plus the fact that they had to remain in that bubble for so long.

It’s going to be hilarious when there is a work stoppage because she can’t get the job done, but the media will have to bend over backwards to praise her courage and brilliance because, well you know...

Lol. Like any of that is a hardship where they would be unable to go back to work. I dribbled a ball and made some jump shots months ago, I'm exhausted. My room service wasn't Michelin three star quality. My hoes weren't allowed to stay overnight.

They’ll fold once they realize that the owners want to start in December to play as many games as possible to recoup lost revenue. Once they’re told about the consequences of a lower cap, they’ll fall in line.

LOL. Welp, the NBA will definitely crash and burn now. Can't criticize this person for anything.

Nice work! LOLOLOLOLOL

Cool.
Make sure you let the players know that theirs and your inability to try to work swiftly during these trying times will cost them millions of dollars. If ALL the players are ok with everyone getting less money than they originally signed for with their guaranteed contracts, then ok, take your time.

They'll start whenever the league tells them to start.

I'm tired of the bitching by whiny NBA players about only 2 months off season. They they had 4-5 months off betwen when the season paused and the bubble resumed. What the hell else do they want?

Has there ever been a union president who hasn't regurgitated this line?
