Oh give me a break.
"Hey guys! We are hearing from people that have no real knowledge of the situation and are considered "insiders" and part of "NBA circles" that Kawhi is going to the Lakers! Lakers 2020 Champs, print the motherfricking shirts!!!!!!"
Can we just shut this thread down until Kawhi says anything? I'm tired of reading BS speculation posts
ETA: Wtf is an "NBA Circle" and why should I believe anything that comes out of that? tMSB could be considered an NBA circle and we are just as clueless as those idiots at ESPN

Does anyone else feel the "LeBron is willing take a back seat to Kawhi and AD" stuff sounded like straight up fan fiction, something someone laying down at night praying for Kawhi would think "it would be awesome if LeBron would make that concession for the betterment of the team" and then sent it out there as fact?

Part of it, certainly. Especially the idea that last year somehow got LeBron to believe that he needs to take a back seat to the next generation. He still had massive stats and his team tanked without him. What about that screams “well, my days as ‘the guy’ are over”?

so Lakers & Clippers each have around $32 mil in cap space still and that put the team with the third most cap space - Dallas - around $18 mil I think?
Also Dallas is rumored to be interested in Danny Green too but is waiting on Kawhi. You'd think if Kawhi was certain he'd be going to one of the LA teams, he'd be in a Dallas jersey by now

Right before the playoffs started, Kawhi met with the Toronto Mgmt and they essentially agreed on him returning for a 1+1 IF they made the finals. Kawhi was really attracted to the idea that this team could secure homecourt and rest him 20-30 games or whatever. However, Kawhi told the team that if they don't make it to the finals he's gone (Specifically to the Clippers).

LeBron is offering him the keys to the Lakers franchise. LeBron is essentially telling Kawhi he's retiring after his contract is up and he'll be the new face of the franchise. Lakers mgmt is also going to let him hire his own medical staff and bring all his pals on board.
The Lakers were never on Kawhis radar. It was always going to come down to the Clippers or Raptors. However, with LeBron essentially giving him the "keys to the city" there’s a new real sense of interest and a real threat for him to join the Lakers. He feels like he can join a superteam because he's already won rings without one.
Kawhis already met with the Clippers (late last night) and was also impressed with them.
Kawhi is meeting with Masai either tonight or tomorrow morning. He's flying in from LA. And you better believe both the Clippers and the Lakers are flying out their people to chase him too.
On the plus side for the Raptors. Drake has been with Kawhi for the last few days. Theres been a lot of talk of having NB as an offical endorser of this years OVO Fest but Drake is having trouble working with Nike.

Poor Mr Perfect, his source has dried up.
Maybe he'll luck into being right if Kawhi chooses LAL, but it's obvious he's got nothing and has never had anything with his sources.
