Cardinals are going nowhere. Might as well explore moving Lynn, Gyorko, Oh, and Rosenthal.
Well cardinals think otherwise. Going to be buyers. Gonna make a decent splash too in the middle of the order.
Cant wait to land Stanton.

I could see it but that's inside the division. Thinking only way Oakland does that is if y'all blow them away

There's pretty recent history there. Beane and Luhnow made a trade in 15 for Kazmir

Absolutely not. But we're just now receiving parts of the 1 billion dollar tv contract they signed. They have the money, and it would fix a big hole. Honestly tho, Josh Donaldson would be a better alternative. we have ZERO 3rd baseman, and we have about 7 outfielders
Posted on 7/6/17 at 10:49 am to mizslu314
but the cardinals are a pure franchise who dont stoop to "buying" wins
Posted on 7/6/17 at 10:51 am to WestCoastAg
They brought in McGwire, Mulder, Holliday, etc... I know that comment was tongue in cheek but come on
Posted on 7/6/17 at 10:52 am to mizslu314
What are you going to trade for Donaldson

I know, its crazy we're so successful while staying true to our core!
But I feel like this one is just a tad different. I mean, sure are we gonna be one of the best teams in baseball again in 2-3 years because of our farm? yes. Just why not win now too!!

we have a lot to offer, not sure what exactly they need most. As long as a catcher isnt their priority, that is.

The San Diego Padres, still seeking their shortstop of the future, and are said to have asked the New York Yankees about top prospect Gleyber Torres. The Yankees could have interest in some Padres relievers - Brad Hand would make the most sense - but there is absolutely no evidence they'd have any interest in trading Torres. They would surely trade lesser prospects for Hand but Torres is considered a potential perennial All-Star, so he isn't going anywhere. The Padres have been looking for a long-term shortstop for a couple years.

According to a report from Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports, the Braves are getting calls about ace starter Julio Teheran and are not shutting the door on trade offers.

They are probably going to want the best package of prospects they can get regardless of position, because that's what basically any team starting a rebuilding process wants

Exactly, the cardinals are known for fielding a team they brought up, yes, but we also have one big name we bought else where.

Luke weaver would be a great start for Toronto. Hate to lose him, but hes a MLB ready pitcher now. No way we lose Reyes or Kelly tho.
