So excited clippard is part of the trade.
There really wasn't a role for him anymore.
7th inning was his until he blew about 5 games in a row.

Guess Matt Duffy and Nathan Evoldi are worth that much... Reality is biggest loss for the Ray's has been Keirmeir, followed by B. Miller, and J. Odorizzi

Easily
This is a good trade for the Yankees. Rutherford is a good prospect, but not elite and the Yanks are loaded with OF prospects. The other 2 are fringe guys.
Robertson and especially Kahnle are excellent relievers. Frazier can play the position and we'll see if he hits.
I don't know why the Sox brought Clippard back - just shove some cash to NY.

Dodgers list include Either, Kazmir, J. Turner, BMac, Joc
However, a lot of players are not major contributors

So do the Red So turn their attention towards another 3B... Say a particular one playing in Baltimore

I'd love to see that douche go to Boston. He'd fit right in.

Outside of Devers would Boston have the prospects? Think they would move towards Asdrúbal Cabrera

Tito Polo is the 4th Yankee in the trade

Now we can see if Yankees are still in for Gray or go for Straily

Joel Sherman's thoughts on the trade LINK
quote:
1. The Yankees have had among the majors’ worst production at first and third base this season. Frazier is hitting just .207, but his .214 average on balls in play is low enough to suggest he has hit into bad luck, particularly because his 18.9 line-drive percentage is in line with the 19.3 for his career. (One reason the Yankees obtained Nick Swisher from the White Sox in November 2008 after his poor 2007 is that his ball-in-play numbers were low and they thought he was a good rebound candidate.)
No matter what, Frazier’s 16 homers would add heft at third in place of Chase Headley or at first rather than the revolving door that formed due to Greg Bird’s ankle injury.
quote:
3. The Yankees tried to get Jose Quintana and believed they had an offer that included Rutherford commensurate with that of the offer from the Cubs (who did land the lefty). In fact, that the White Sox knew the Yankees’ system so well helped facilitate these talks. But not landing their first choice for a starter in this trade market convinced the Yanks that they just may have to go with what they have — lessened by the loss of Michael Pineda to Tommy John surgery. Thus, they will try to bulk up the pen to lessen the burden on the rotation with Chapman, Betances, Robertson, Kahnle, Adam Warren and perhaps the rising Chad Green, though these pen additions also could move Green to the rotation.

The #WhiteSox will now have 8 of the top 100 prospects in #MLB, per Baseball America, second only to the #Braves
Correction, The White Sox HAD 8 of the top 100 prospects in MLB. They now have 10 of the top 100!!!

I am only seeing 8.
Moncada, Jimenez, Kopech, Rutherford, Robert, Lopez, Giolito, Cease

You forgot pitcher Carson Fulmer and catcher Zack Collins.

Neither of those guys were in the BA Top 100.
Have not seen any midseason list with Fulmer anywhere near the top 100. He has been awful this year.
Minor League Ball had a top 220 that had him at 201.
The MLB Pipeline list must be what you're looking at. Hasn't been updated since January. Has guys like Fulmer and Fried in the top 100 and Acuna in the 80s.
It is supposed to be updated in the next week or so, until then it is pretty worthless.
